How long will the 4090 be out of stock brehs?
There’s no telling really. The speculation is that NVIDIA is purposely suppressing the stock in order to move more 4080’s and 4080 Super’s when they eventually release those. You may be able to get lucky and grab one locally, just make sure you get the receipt with it.

Finally decided to make a new rig primarily to handle video production, vfxs and 3D modeling. Went into grabbing all the parts and noticed the 4090 wasn't available online. I saw the 4080 was there, too but I'm being extra

My current machine is basically a dinosaur. i5-3750k with a GPU my brother gave me YEARS ago. I have to look at what it is.

I haven't gamed on it in years and it's been a struggle editing 4k footage. Thank God for proxy files

the US recently banned the export of AI capable GPU's to China (the 4090 was the only RTX card included in the ban). before that went into effect, people bought them all up

You might just have to bite the bullet. I factor in scalper markup in my builds now. The 4090 is amazing. It’s the best gpu I’ve ever had, even factoring in the time period to technology aspect. The only other gpu I can think of that was this good was the ATI 5870 way back in the day.

Very good system but I feel the motherboard is excessive. You could get a good, cheaper motherboard for about 150 dollars less, get a 14900k instead of the 13900k and still money left over to pay for more storage. 1 tb will fill up before you know it.

I have a large HDD that's 6TBs that I was thinking I would just swap out my old machine into this one.

I feel you on the MOBO, I talked myself into this one after minimal research. It's supposedly good for content creation which is my primary use case for this build
