I seen some monitors like that but i didnt pull the trigger. What you have a 48 inch or something?
Yeah, I have the 49inch. I've had 2 of those monitors so far. I had the mini-led version, but recently upgraded to the OLED version:

It's absolutely amazing :whew:

If you get a good enough mobo, it'll have a good soundcard and network adapter on it. I used to get fancy sound cards, but from an audiophile perspective (which I am), they are not good. It's much better to use an external dac and amp/headphone amp. I use usb out from my mobo to some Kef LS 50 Wireless speakers (which have the dac and amp integrated in them). For headphones, I either use my headphone setup (with my good dac and amp), or some wireless Audeze Maxwell heaphones.

Anyway, the soundcard shouldn't be a big concern for you.

Also, your link isn't showing the parts you are trying to get, or at least I can't see them

Can you see these? $3900 total.

Damn am I only one that game on 1440P ultra on here
I'm lower than you at 2560x1080 ultrawide

Everyone keep telling me to bump to the 1440p, but honestly at max settings the games be looking beautiful on here

:yeshrug:

And the way I reckon with this 4090, I'll prolly be able to play like this for the next 8-10 years

I’m not at my computer right now to look at the parts in more detail, but from a quick look, I’d get a better power supply. I like platinum or titanium. Gold is kinda lower end.

Maybe also think about getting a little better mobo. I'm sure the one you chose would be fine, but I'd consider getting the one step up on, if budget allows:

@Mister_DoItNice what are your thoughts?

Edit: Also get a NVME for your OS, and consider getting a 4tb or 8tb ssd (they are much cheaper than they used to be)

What's the difference between the 3090 and 4080?
The 3090 Ti is a few hundred cheaper and has more VRAM. However, the 4080 will perform better because it boosts to higher clock speeds and has DLSS3. I suggested the 3090 Ti because you said it was hard for you to justify spending $1000+ on a graphics card. However, there’s also the 7900 XTX that can be had for about as much as the 3090 Ti as well.

I don’t really know too much about AMD boards. I will say that I did have a Strix Z690-E last year, before I got my Z690 Apex and that thing performed like a champ. Overclocked surprisingly well.

It’sso easy to overspend on a board I’m guilty of it :guilty:. U just gotta know is you’re gonna take advantage of the extra features of these x670 or z790 boards
Yeah, on second thought, for a first build he'll probably be fine with the cheaper board. I'm definitely known for going overboard on builds...
