cpu - intel i5 13600k

Motherboard - msi z790 tomahawk

Ram/ddr5 - 32gb minimum. Brands such as G.Skill, Corsair, Teamgroup and crucial are solid. Try and look for 6000mhz cl36 speed kits.

Power supply - Look for a power supply thats atx 3.0 ready and has a gold rating. 850w minimum. Evga, seasonic and corsair are solid brands.

Case - subjective but lian li, phanteks and fractal are really the top brands in terms of quality and innovation. Recommend lian li air mini.

Cpu cooler - scythe fuma 2

Storage/Nvme - Samsung Pro series are the most reliable. Wd black are great too.
This is great, repped for the effort. Im gonna use this is a starting point and see what I end up. Hopefully i'll have put together a build in a month or two

Thats great and all but 2k on a monitor? The splurge guilt wouldn't let me :picard:
It’s basically 4K just spread out wider. It’s 2 27” 1440ps next to each other with no bezel. I like really wide aspect ratios, so I actually prefer this to a 16:9 4K

Edit: of you meant the price maybe. Yeah, it’s expensive, but I’m gonna sell my mini-led one locally to offset some of the costs.

Anybody can point me to some good prebuilt gaming PC's? I want good enough specs to play today's games at ultra 4K settings so I'm assuming something with a 4080 or 4090 card on it. My budget is about 4 G's.
For 4k, you could just build some ultimate rig. Prebuilts either cut corners somewhere, or seriously upcharge for the parts. How else are they profitable?

What dpi are you rocking? Some of those pc pros use 10,000 or some crazy shyt. I use 6400 dpi, and it took a while to get used to, but the very slight fine tune adjustment is amazing. People who use my computer for the first time can’t handle the 6400 at all. You have to move a whole lot less, with little fatigue. You get used to it quickly, but it’s jarring in the beginning. The also have dpi shift on some mice, where you can hold a button and the dpi goes down real low for scopes and sniping. It’s handy at times.

I only use a mouse on fps and isometric games (rpgs, etc) . Going back to a controller on a fps after playing with a mouse is disgusting.

Yeah once u lock in your dpi and in game sens, it’s just muscle memory from there. I go ultra low on in game sens, stay at 800 dpi, and just keep my cm/360° the same across my fps games

some people go the other way, and use low DPI and a big mouse pad. I think I'm at around 2000 DPI

Follow up:

The fact they left that backdoor there is wild. I wonder how many other mobo manufacturers are doing the same.

Stick to it. Also, you can position your keyboard to be more comfortable on your wrist. I play with this kind of setup
