Which case are y'all rocking with the upcoming 3000 series?

Got everything picked out, just need that case.

I'm getting this one (Amazon listing might be ad-blocked)

But not until I update the rest of my system. I only need more PSU headroom rn

The FEs cooling was always a step behind the non-refererence cards. Now that they seem to have addressed that I honestly prefer the FE. My case is a solid black box anyway :russ: I only see a faint glow in the dark

i'll wait 4-6 months for the third party cards, because the first ones aren't be worth it compared to the founder's edition

Sound strategy :ehh: I just wanna see 3090 benchmarks. I don't feel like I'll be making an informed purchase without em. They shoulda had all that info out at once. At least all this wk. I haven't seen any dates for 3090 other than release

The MSI ventus cards are crap, I was thinking about getting that gaming X trio, but since these FE cards aren't reference cards this time around they don't get hot and are quiet so its really no reason to get that big ass card unless they have it overclocked significantly which gaming x usually does, because my 1080ti gaming X was on par with the 2080 which is why I never had to upgrade my specs were much better than any other 1080ti out.

The 3090 coming out the 27th so you probably won't see the benchmarks to the day before, I was gonna just get like it fukk it, but after looking at the specs again, it only has 2,000 more cuda cores than the 3080, only marginal difference is the vram, which really doesn't mean shyt for gaming, but games don't use that much ram, even when they say its maxed out its just allocated and not being used, and if you have to use more than the vram it draw the rest from the system ram, its a non issue, unless you are using it for 3d rendering and computing shyt

but then early benchmarks don't mean shyt, because driver updates will improve performance, and new cards never make a huge leap on cards compared to the previous gen, but on newer games you see the cap in performance, which is why the 2080ti doesn't seem like its useless yet, it will be once next gen cames come out probably got only one year of being viable

put the 3080 can probably hold you out for two years and they will have something cheaper and more powerful than the 3090 or a smaller version of it

Not Japan
Yeah I'll hold off too until the next wave of stock. I don't feel like playing the page refresh grand prix with these neckbeards and crypto miners :hubie:

215 Uptown!
It looks like the AIBs might not even be "that" much better then the FE anyway. Nvidia really went all out this time. If i cant grab one tomorrow i'm cool on waiting for the restock.

Damn I’m REALLY killing myself over whether I should cop the 3090 or just cop the 3080.
Wait for performance with the 3090. what display are you using?
For 1080p/1440p - the 3080 is easily the card to buy. 4K 120hz - I'd go with the 3090 but they will release a 1000-1200, 2000 cards that will be close to performance so you are warned.

I got a 2080ti right now. And I’m using a 49’ Super Ultrawide monitor. My issue is that damn 3090 is twice the price and I doubt it’s gonna be twice the performance. Especially if I pull some shyt like cop the 3080 and next year trade up for the 3080ti.

It's not, get the 3080. Sell your 2080ti after people realize they can't get the 3080 or 3070.

Got two cards ordered one for me and one to resell
I didn't realize some stores opened order :francis:
waiting for newegg drop and microcenter tomorrow.
I want the 3090 anyways, let's see how this goes.
