My how times have changed

I was jaded. Especially with intel and nvidia. Dont game anymore as well, but def gonna be doing a lot more digital content.

I’m gonna be moving out of state once quarantine is over. This got me thinking, how the hell do I move my water cooled PC? I’m obviously gonna drain it, but do I need to uninstall all the tubing? I think I probably should, but I don’t want to.

Maybe some padding everywhere?

what do yall do with old un-upgradable laptops?

depends on what exactly you mean by "un-upgradable"...

if it's under 8 years old and has a 2.5 inch sata storage bay, pop a cheap 120 or 250gb ssd in it and bring that machine back to life

install a flavor of linux and have some fun with it. last year i took an old pavilion from 2011-ish and converted it into a personal firewall/router via freebsd.

Reason to buy 10 gen i9, 256gb ram is cheaper than AMD counterparts

600 for cpu/250 for board I think this is the route I'll take for upgrading the office machines.

Spent a good afternoon trying to OC my 970 so I can get better FPS out of Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

Couldn't get it past a good 47-50. Then i started to think the game is just unoptimized.

Looked on Youtube. People are running Assassin's Creed II at only 60 fps on a damn 970

Should've realized it when Doom Eternal was giving me smooth as fukk fps and AC was struggling
