Picking up the 3600x and 3900x (even though I should just get the 3800x), looks like microcenter is having an event. Any details on said event beside Ryzen 3000?

Not replacing any board, don't believe x570 will make a difference with both systems I'm upgrading.

Hi key glad they didn’t announce a 2080ti super :whew:
It will eventually come, got rid of one already. Can't recall the last time I used SLI/CF

I'm ready, I just am thinking about how much time I'll have to spend draining my shyt, taking the tubing apart, somehow keeping it organized, and then putting back together again :francis:

There's only 1 game that I know of that takes advantage of RTX SLI, Shadow of a Tomb Raider. shyt looks very, very good, but $1200 extra for fancy shadows in one game :camby:

I ordered a 3700x and a X570 Mobo from Newegg. Right now they have bundles for the processors and mobos, microcenter is doing that too but I'm not near one.

If you do get a MSI x570 mobo from Newegg, Best Buy, or Amazon you can get a mail in rebate. It's $10 at Newegg and an extra $20 or $50 off if you leave a review on the site. It's $20 or $50 if you leave a review at Best Buy or Amazon

5700XT isn't that bad, basically half the price of radeon VII for 90-95% of the performance. An actual performance increase with better value. I didn't buy it but if you are in the market for a build I would suggest someone to pick one up if they have a nearby microcenter for 50 dollars less when paired with a Ryzen 3000 series.

With that and the Super 2070, we are finally seeing affordable 1080ti performance/cost.

I wasn't ready for the speed of the R7 2700x..... :whew:. Got whole new life in my PC case. I learned a little bit of patience can gonna long way, wanted to dual-boot my system with WIN10 and 7 Ultimate, took me all day to realize that for 7 just had to put the iso file on a usb drive and leave the ASUS DVD in the burner and it does it all to incorporate the usb drivers during the install. Crosshair VI Hero is overkill for me but works like a champ :ohlawd:

AMD went to 7nm and still failing. :unimpressed:
It's very clear they are holding back numbers/position with each launch. Navi is built for console, mostly funded by Sony. The incremental updates to their ryzen lineup let's you know - what AMD is purposely doing each year. Next year will be the same thing 12-15% performance boost.

Moving so close to 3 microcenters was a mistake, unopened parts all over the place:francis:
