Since my last update I have a rtx 2060 and a 144hz(155 overclocked)1440p 27 inch Dell monitor.

Got DMC 5 and that shyt is running buttery smooth. Getting 85-95 fps at 1440p at the highest settings .

I just realized in my lifespan of owning RTX cards, I've only turned on raytracing once. Nvidia hustle game is on another level :dead:

AMD needs to sell a good portion of Radeon to another company to handle

You're not turning RTX on in Battlefield V or Metro: Exodus?

If those games are the future, RTX is game-changing. If you haven't tried them yet, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised :ehh:

I did for battlefield V, shamefully i played the entire game in one sitting (was sick at home)

I like it but the loss of fps while I played bfv was enough to stop using it at the time. Just find it funny because it's like buying the p100d and never using ludicrous mode

It’s not worth the performance hit in BFV. But its dope as fukk in Metro Exodus. Yo im hitting 200+ fps in some scenes of DMC5 at 1440p. A potato could prolly run this shyt at decent settings. Lol

Financial structure of gaming has been fukked up for years especially regarding retailers

Where is your monitor? Your system should focus on the monitor. I suggest you get yourself a 1440p 144hz-165hz freesync monitor (Non curved if you play fps games)
Get a ryzen 5 2600x instead.
Get the rtx 2080 or the Vega 56 (for that price) - better to have more vram with 1440p. Good RTX 2060 start at 390 and good rtx 2070 start at 500, which is why I would recommend the Vega 56 over 2060.
Switch one of the ssd for samsung 970 or 960 nvme drive. 250Gb should be enough - store your OS and important software on here, use the other SSD to store games. Buy an HDD or external drive to store music, files that don't require speed. Make sure you do research to see if your motherboard isn't having problems overclocking the ram to 3200 (also recommend you buy a ram stick that is 3200mhz speed). I would recommend the MSI over the B450 Strix due to better vrm's.

Or wait a month or 2, ryzen 2 (3rd gen) is coming

System Builder - Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6 GHz 6-Core, Radeon RX VEGA 56 8 GB AREZ STRIX, Eclipse P350X (Black/White) ATX Mid Tower - PCPartPicker

I have a 1080p monitor right now, but I've been thinking about either getting a 2160p or 1440p monitor to go with the RTX 2080 or VEGA 56. I'm also also going to be doing music, coding and getting back into graphic designing other than playing games. Is there a difference with curved monitors in your experience?

I've thought of it and will try to hold out for Ryzen 2, but if not, then will get the 2600x.

I'll switch out one of the ssd for the Samsung 970 nvme and get a 2tb Seagate hdd since I already have external drive.

The B450 tomahawk is really the better choice than the B450 Strix from doing my research for the past few months. And I just realize the ASUS Vega 56 is sold out :francis: not surprise thou I'll go with the 2080 or 2070 to save some money and go 1440p.

I appreciate the help breh breh :salute:

Edit: ASRock B450 motherboards good at overclocking seeing from reviews now I'm stuck on choosing Between the Steel Legend or the Tomahawk :upsetfavre:

Depends on your budget going from a 360 dollar card to a 800 is a lot. In many situation not worth it for most users when they can spend it elsewhere. I would pick up a 500GB nvme then. HDD gaming, production of any sort is trash unless it’s solo.
