Yes but if Nvidia cards can barely get it to work (raytracing) on their cards, how do you think it will perform on current AMD gpu's if performances are similar for newer cards.Doesn't AMD have their own raytracing called Radeon Rays it used to be called FireRays
Nvidia needs to continue creating something that game-developers need to continue using their products because next gen consoles being all AMD built especially around ryzen and navi. It's important for them to keep a foot in the that circle and raytracing clearly is their only current option to do that.
