the PC version got literally one patch, and that didn't fix shyt. the FAR mod was able to fix these issues hours after release, but was never officially patched into the game. it's a meme at this point, and muthafukkas are talking about it today because of the GOTY announcement
Works fine on my PC - legit version. Also many people just get the pirated version as modders have your back there.
GTAV's legs mostly come from the online mode, that you can't play with a pirated copy. we see this tactic creeping into single player games, like Hitman 2, where an online connection is required to access some of the content
Many people who pirate, also by the legit version...
I'm not sure why you would downplay a number like 30-35%. that's a very significant number of people
Less than 50% is a very small number, in terms of the larger scale, again, many pirates by the game anyway...eventually.
and all that is part of the reason access to JBO is limited to members. The Coli knows some of this content could fukk with their ad money. it's also the reason for phrases like "Pass the Mustard", instead of saying "I need a link to download that album for free"
and ultimately these are separate issues. if shyt goes down because of open discussions about piracy, it's not gonna help to say "b-b-but there's porn on this site too
"
Its a moot point, people will join, and post, simple as that. Nothing is gonna get shut down, if Reddit has several /r's about it, a forum wherein you have to create an account will be fine.
to be clear, I'm not saying that companies
should choose to not fukk with PC because of piracy. there is still money to be made, if they have a good product. but I also understand the perspective that piracy is a big issue with PC gaming. it's why we get stuck with online-only single player games, and other crazy DRM. and yeah, it gets cracked anyway, and seems like a waste of time, but it keeps happening because they perceive piracy as a major issue. and again, dudes up in here, like "I just downloaded every new game
", does nothing to change that perception
Except that ever major company has a series of games on PC.....Call of Duty, Destiny, Rockstar, SquareEnix, etc. Witcher 3 has shown that you don't need DRM to sell more than studio albums and movies. People
will by the game, even the pirates. The three biggest titles in gaming currently (Witcher 3, Call of Duty, and GTA) have zero DRM...which comes to me as no surprise...
sometimes the change has to come from you
It has, I know better than to blind buy games or trust a review on youtube.... I rather steal it, and see if its actually worth a purchase.
