You are right on schedule :mjlol:
Oh, it’s just starting. :mjpls:

The rest of my shyt comes next week. I’m going to assume I’ll find out I have a bad part after completing my loop. Then it’ll take 3 months for an RMA. Then I’ll forget to close one port and my liquid cooling will leak and ruin a 2080ti. And that’s all before benchmarking :mjpls:.

Then I’ll proclaim that building computers isn’t worth it anymore, and I’ll say I’m only buying prebuilds from now on. I’ll sell all my shyt at a 60% loss, then buy an OriginPC for a ridiculous amount. :dead:

:russ:

that shyt better not happen though

So, I’ve been monitoring prices of ssds and m.2s. I can’t believe how much they fluctuate over any given day. For instance, last week the 4tb Samsung 860 evos randomly went up $100. Also, the m.2 970 evos randomly went down $40 yesterday. Then a 10tb hdd went down $50 last week. I don’t know why we are seeing these changes. I cannot think of a reason why parts go up or down $50-$100 on a Monday, and then up on a Friday, for instance. :patrice:

It must be some sort psychological pattern where people will spend more on a Friday (pay day) than a Tuesday. I noticed that shyt happens with plane tickets too. :jbhmm:

If somebody was on their shyt, they could make som money over time buying and selling pc components.

Scrapped.

For the price of the Ti plus taxes, I returned it to Micro Center for a gift card and picked up a 2700X, 16GB 3200 CL14 Memory, a 750 watt power supply, a Vega 64, a Crosshair VI Hero Wifi
return the 64, it's not worth 100-150 more than the 56.
And why did you buy a 300 dollar ryzen motherboard. Asus z370-f is more than enough :picard:

Get a nice amount of fans the vega cards need it

Yeah, amazon and Newegg change prices in unison. It was like $735 or something a few days ago. The 970 evo 2tb just dropped $25 today, for no reason. I’m waiting on a drop on the 4tb 860 and I’m gonna pull the trigger. I got a 970 m.2 tb and a 2tb 860 coming this week (I decided against an internal 10tb hdd. I’m just gonna store music and video files on an external. I’m trying to make this shyt as quiet as possible :yeshrug:).

:dahell:

The motherboard is $149.99 at Micro Center and $119.99 once you get the $30 dollars off with the CPU Bundle.

Not returning the 64, it was only $28 dollars more at Micro Center.

I used to be the same, till I got the Noctua cooler fan setup...while ugly, it lowered my cpu temps by 20 degrees. And we're talking about hot temps under AC Origins - ultra settings. Those goddamn Austrian's are killing the cpu cooler game.....fukking ugly looking piece of great machinery.

the effectiveness of your Noctua cooler still depends on ambient temps. if it's 60° in your crib, than your CPU will be cooler than it would be if it was 70° in your crib

Getting the hang of tinkering with graphic settings....

Downloaded a demo of Project Cars 2 and at first was getting like 30...damn near sub 20 fps....I'd think a 580 would handle shyt like this on ultra, but a simple tweak of settings helped out...left car models and environment models on Ultra, but put the rest on high and put shadows on medium...also swapped MSAA for SMAA and get much better frame rate

Not with Noctua, I purposefully shut of off the AC at summer time, and it was taking care of business...surprisingly. It was doing better than my 90$ aio....which pissed me off a bit.

I live in the south breh. turning off the A/C in the summer would be unbearable. and that's tied to what I'm saying. I have to run the A/C 24/7 in the summer to keep my crib in the 70's. now it gets cool at night, and I can just open a window and have it be cooler than it would be with the A/C

the loudest fan in my machine is the gpu fan(s) anyway. and that's mostly because of my custom fan curve that hits 100% at 70C. the default Nvidia fan curve sucks, and will basically let your card throttle to keep it quiet

Grabbed a used generic Clevo chassis laptop from the local Facebook Marketplace in Austin TX for $1k a week ago. It has a GTX 1070, i7-7820HK, Samsung NVMe 512GB SSD, 1TB HGST HDD, Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi MB5, and G-Sync. W key letter has been rubbed off, but other than that, it works fine. I like that it has no branding on the outside. Makes me feel a little more secure bringing it while traveling.
