Vega FE is a $1000 dollar card that performs on par with a 1080 non Ti while drawing nearly 2x the power. When the RX version is out you'd be lucky to see it retail for under $500.
WHOA i did not see it was $999. That's a L. Forget what I said lmao.

Finally got around to working on the build. Just got the motherboard and ssd drive in today. Haven't connected anything really. Probably put in the power supply next, either this Sunday or Monday.

Case is huge too so plenty of space for everything. Ima see if I just put everything in now and if it works without the gpu. Been tracking prices on Amazon for that and hopefully I get one within the next paycheck or two. Just wanna get it up and running for now so I can see how everything works. I do need to get a copy of Windows too.

Screwed in the power supply today. Looking at everything, it seems like the hardest part will be cable management. Those power supply cables are thick as hell. It's an nzxt phantom case and it's huge, but I'm guessing there will be less room when everything gets installed. This is what I'm looking like so far.

This vega release is such as let down. :shaq2: AMD at least give us some details, why so secretive if you're suppose to be competing against a released card like 1080 TI :snoop:

The case? It's rather light. Maybe five pounds I'd say. I think the power supply is heavier. On second thought, I just weighed it on my scale and it's like 30 pounds. :dead:

I got the cooling fan installed today. Gonna take it by my boys house so he can help me check everything so far. I'll post pics I took earlier.

I gotta check my connection cuz I installed the fan to cpu_fan and the part connected to the processor to some cpu_ov connector. It was the only three pin connection there. Watch me have over powered this fan and it starts to fly. :heh:

remodeling my room so I had to move my "battlestation" to the tiny room

I had to put my tv on top of my pc monitor, first time with this setup and I see it being a better option

also had to put my new all white case on the floor

My liquid cooling is fukking up. I'm getting way too high temperatures. I guess I gotta get the h100iv2 replaced I guess. No heavy CPU lifting for the time. Hopefully I can play Neir (I've been console gaming for the past few months, because the PS4 releases were crazy, not to mention Zelda).

I'm gonna get a burnt chip :mjcry:

Luckily, I have intel cpu protection :whew:

Finally got everything up and running. My boy helped me install all the cables, atleast the useful ones. I guess deaths rest are for the graphics card. He booted up a copy of Windows for me too. I just gotta get a graphics card and optical drive and I guess a sound bar. We were getting an error about cpu temperature when booting up. I'll have to research it when I get home and mess with this thing. Gotta get used to Windows 10. Haven't used windows since Vista.

Complete your build and fail to have the most basic computer parts, brehs. A fukking keyboard and mouse. :snoop:

Ordered the one I was interested in on Amazon earlier so I'm stuck being patient until maybe Friday. Logitech Bluetooth kinds. Hopefully I order the graphics card within the next week or maybe with this coming paycheck since I made a payment to my credit card today. Didn't want to have a high balance before so I paid some of it off to make room for the graphics card purchase. Think I'm gonna go with the 1080 over the 1080ti and save myself the $250. The 1080 is still a beast of a card and I'm getting back into the game so I'll appreciate it anyways. It has vr capabilities and everything. Other than that, ran into no issues. The wiring was difficult but I had help, plus the case has things to put wires thru for better cable management. Everything I did myself was pretty simple to install and I learned a lot for a beginner. Just gotta learn more inside the computer. Gotta get a few of those there certs that y'all be talking about so I can start earning more money and quit my damn shytty retail job and buy more pieces for this thing or peace of mind.
