"The Originals" Season 4 (& TVD Season 8) DISCUSSION Thread

The Headless Horseman is making tracks for New Orleans. Sort of.

Neil Jackson, Ichabod’s friend-turned-frenemy on Fox’s Sleepy Hollow, will recur onThe Originals‘ upcoming fourth season, series star Joseph Morgan revealed to reporters in the press room at San Diego Comic-Con.

Little is known as about Jackson’s character at the moment, save for him being a vampire named Alistair who will interact with Klaus. (For Alistair’s sake, let’s hope that interaction doesn’t involve a beheading — not that Jackson hasn’t had practice in that role.)

Jackson’s additional TV credits include roles on Blindspot, Person of Interest and Make It or Break It.

What we do know about Season 4 is that it picks up five years after the events of May’s season finale, as Hayley and a grown-up Hope fight to save and reunite their family. You can learn more about what the fourth season has in store for the Mikaelsons in TVLine’s cast interview below:

Keahu Kahuanui is once again finding himself in the company of werewolves — with a few vampires and hybrids added in for good measure.

The Teen Wolf alum will recur in the upcoming fourth season of The Originals as Josh’s new boyfriend Eddie, TVLine has learned exclusively. Despite being very much aware of the supernatural world around him, Eddie — described as “sweet, funny, sexy and charming, with an encyclopedic knowledge of random facts” — has no desire to be anything other than human. We’ll meet him in the second episode of the season.

Kahuanui joins a growing list of intriguing Season 4 additions, one which includes Christina Moses (Containment) as a fierce werewolf named Keelin and Neil Jackson (Sleepy Hollow) as a mysterious vampire named Alistair.

Nothing’s official yet, but Vampire Diaries fans can take heart in knowing that everyone is trying to get Nina Dobrev back in Mystic Falls for the CW drama’s upcoming eighth (and final!) season.

“There are discussions going on with Nina,” CW president Mark Pedowitz confirmed to reporters Thursday during the Television Critics Association summer press tour. “We’d love to have Nina back. She was great for The CW. She was integral for The Vampire Diaries.”

Of course, there’s also a back-up plan in place should Dobrev’s return prove impossible: “Hopefully she’ll be back, but should it not work out, Julie [Plec] has planned a great series finale [that will satisfy fans],” Pedowitz added.

As for the series coming to a close, Pedowitz echoed previous sentiments about it being a mutual decision between himself, Plec and Warner Brothers Television’s Peter Roth.

“We collectively came to the same place,” he explained. “Julie really got there before either Peter or I did, which was this was the right time to end the series, go out in the right way.”

Hulu don't have rights to cw no more it's exclusive to Netflix now

They suppose to start airing the season that went off within a few weeks of it's season finale instead of right when new season bout to start as part of the deal

Watching TVD Season 8 premiere right now. They got the young brotha from the short-lived CW show "Containment" that aired this past summer on this show. The CW stay taking care of their actors. That's gotta be at least 4 or 5 actors on that "Containment" show that have been casted on other CW shows.
