yea, and the only thing banning them longer than 10 years would do is expand the black market..With the internet becoming more advanced everyday, a ban on semi automatic rifles would not stop any loon from doing what there heart desires. At least with it being legal the government can regulate and track where the weapons are sold.

Yeah, the black market. That place where the average person on the street has connections and can obtain anything they want. Every year lots of people get arrested trying to buy shyt on the black market and end up talking to FBI agents. If the black market was the only place to buy assault weapons then a lot more of these crazy idiots would end up being caught before they killed anyone.

How does you last statement make any sense? There is a black market for those weapons now even while they are legal. Also the mother of the killer in this CT shooting bought her gun legally and it was registered. That did nothing to protect the lives of those little kids now did it?
