Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
Housing cost too much period. A community is not a city or a metropolitan area. Yes they're going to be portions of a particular metropolitan area that are more expensive than others and that's where the highest earners live but once again paying 60% of your income to have a roof over your head or else move to a city with exponentially less opportunities or amenities shouldn't be a normality that's accepted.
Life is all about trade offs. Very rarely do you get everything you want.

Some people trade having a home and a lawn for a higher income in a downtown area with more growth opportunities.

  1. Why do ya'll do this; ya'll just want to fukk with the door open and smoke drugs shyt? Most people got to move away from their homes to make money--especially nowadays. You not "stacking up" working at McDonald's.
  2. Adults cannot live under the rule of adults for long. I stayed with both my parents (divorced) for like 6 month each after college...hell no.
  3. It's the parents fault for not starting a saving the day the kid is born so they got a few months ahead to get it together. This is America. People don't do the don't move out til you married shyt. Plus, it leads to an arrested development; :childplease: 23 years old with a 10 o clock curfew ass dude.s

i dont think anything you said was a good counter argument to anything i said. why would we be against people moving if it provides them with better opportunities to make money or if they need to?
Our comments are clearly aimed at the people who lack common sense and priorities who work dead end jobs, and continuously make these stupid decisions that goes against their own best interest simply because,
"This is America. We do things this way here". The average American has less than $1000 saved, is fat, and a moron. Why the fukk would one follow in the footsteps of the average American?
you are literally setting yourself up for failure.

I had a job junior and senior year of high school and my own car (with no payments).

By the time graduation came along I was ready to go. My folks wanted me to stay home but it I was ready to stand on my own 2 feet.

shyt I was only 18 but when I could I'd pull a Lil overtime. End up comin home after 23:00. Then if I wanted to have some food, felt like I was tiptoeing around and shyt. I was being respectful and not coming home slamming doors, walking loud and shyt, but until you have your own spot with roommates or a girlfriend or kids...you don't really understand that feeling or thought process of "who's in my house?" "What are they doing?" "Did they lock the door?" "They gonna fukk something up?" Getting woke up at all hours and shyt....I was able to grasp that before I moved out and my parents never gave me shyt about it.

I was more than ready to do me though.

Got my spot with my roommates, who like me worked and went to school. After a couple years lived alone (best feeling in the world), then met my lady and a Lil less than a decade later here I am.

I think people missing the point. Brehs I’m here saying they moved out at 18, that’s all well and good but they fail to mention they’re older. Wages have not gone up, these are facts:yeshrug:

If people have less buying power now more than ever what does that mean for people out here tryna make something shake

I think this comes from late millennials and Genz rampant use of social media.. They look at these influencers and see individuals living the life they want at a comparable age, so they assume they're behind in life in comparison.
Social media cause a lot of depression. People with low self esteem need more mentors in their life when they are young to actually compare themselves to.

:what:

No it isn't. Do you live a life where you never have to compromise? Do you get everything that you want?

Be as realistic as you are idealistic.
There's nothing idealistic about saying "if you can't make 6 figures or close to it don't bother living in a metro area".

Let me guess you work STEM or law and anyone who doesn't forfeits the right to live anywhere worth a damn right?

She has a point, when I moved out I was broke as a joke with a fasfa loan. :manny:

She has it backwards. In the black community people stay living with they folks if they broke. None of the people I know living with they family by choice, they cant afford to move out on their own and dont value themselves enough to pick the right mate. I mean if you're a female you need to get with a dude that's earning and can take you out of your parents house. I can't stand dumb bytches.

Nope, I make and average wage, less than 50k, and live comfortably in Miami. I've avoided many mistakes and pitfalls that have caused others to falter.

The NCarolina
My cousin stayed with his mom till he was 24ish, he helped pay the bills even though his mom/my aunt really wasn’t even sweating him to do so and he just saved his money and started building his credit up to like a 740+. The nikka was able to get a house, a fukking car with no type of outrageous down payment. Meanwhile i at 19 thought I was that nikka and told my mother “kick me out, I got hoes out here I can stay with” and then came to the reality that nikka I got no “hoes” out here I can stay with or money or credit.
