I have no idea why Americans are this way and constantly put constraints on themselves. Putting themselves at a disadvantage for literally no reason. Bunch of people leaving home broke, crashing on a couch in a closet sized apartment with 2 other roommates just for some self perceived, “freedom:hubie:
It is freedom in relative terms.

They may have nagging, meddling parents who talk that "My house, My rules.", and you're a grown ass man. I'd be ghost too. Gimme the roommates.

There are plenty of reasons to this and there is another side to the story. I know of 2 people that stay at home with their pops/mother at the age of 33 and 29. In most occasions moving out teaches you how to be a man. Both of those people are heavy gamers who don't know the responsibilities of a man.

Simple things like paying rent , accountability, learning how to budget, realistic views of life.. in a sense they are spoiled. Not including the lack of relationships that aren't had and their prime being wasted at the crib. One is a hermit that is content with never getting p*ssy again and the other has plenty of friends but lacks relationships.
This is where I'm at. Being a man and learning to do shyt by yourself>>> living with parents. Parents sometimes limit the growth of their kids.

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
But why Arkansas and only $15 an hour? You think that low of black folks?
I think that low of "broke people" moving out of home at an early age. That's what I thought the OP was about. I can't listen to the audio, though, because I'm on my work computer.

edit: and Arkansas is just an example, like you said, there are plenty of affordable areas in the country that are decent

Hell

She has a point, when I moved out I was broke as a joke with a fasfa loan. :manny:

I remember having Arab neighbors when I was young and I bounced outta moms thinking I could meet a woman easier since them hoes used to laugh at dudes livng with mom.

Them indian and other groups stayed home with moms and got high degrees and the hoes we liked started calling us broke and started flocking to other races of men with more money.:mjlol:

She speaking facts though we have been programmed to think a certain way thinking that's how we'll get self acceptance but that's not true at all.

They all American culture until the Indian cat becomes a doctor and she gone.

Also, you'll find yourself spending even more money when you're living with family.....mainly because you don't want to be home......unless you have the strict discipline to save up and leave.

Restaurants, nightlife, dates, hotels..... You're going out of your way to look for things to do with your free time.

This is true. I was blinded by the liberty of having my own space. My mom used to get on my ass for settling for a dead end job just to pay a monthly apartment that I will never own. :francis: I have wasted my 20s on paying bills for nothing when I could have just stay home and get a degree and live well off with a stable career. :francis: Independence comes with a cost if you can afford it.

The only people that move out arent "broke people". She had a point to make and fukked it up with her first comment. :mjlol:
She says save your money then move out. Umm, but you said only broke people move out so someone has money to move out then do so, are now magically broke people according to you. :heh:
All she had to say is that its better financially to stay home and secure income, then move. Making a dumbass statement like "the only people who move out are broke people" means I cant take this brawd serious.

That’s not a point tho

Is she just saying an adult letting another adult pay all the bills allows you to save money?

what kind of advice is that?

Nobody should have to move hundreds of miles away because they don't make 6 figures. People should not be jumping out their mother's house at 19 but by your mid-late 20s a interstate relocation should be based on a career opportunity not affordability. Your line of thinking doesn't solve the actual issue.

In many cultures people live at home and only move out when/if they get married.

In some cultures when you're of a certain age parents kick you out. As housing and rental costs continue to rise will be interesting for the next generation.

True but social media has even put a dent on this. This might've of been true for ppl born B4 1994 but social media has even warped the first generation immigrant children.

Asians, Arabs, Africans, Mexicans etc the first gen millenial generation have immense pressure due to social media. After college the no longer live at home
