Not saying they contenders, but all this post proves is styles make fights. Mavs went from non playoffs to finals with drafting an impact player and trading for two solid rotation players

His playoff performance wasn't a problem at all though. Among #2 (if we consider Bron that) not many if any had a better PER (small sample size)

They need a legit scorer off the bench, another 3 & D player and hope like hell JJ is actually better than Ham.

They aren't contenders. However, the Mavs showed with a few smart moves (depending on the matchup) its a path to be taken seriously. And that was with Kyrie only really showing out against the Twolves.

Mavs have Luka and Kyrie who can close out games. How many games did we lose against Denver because Bron and AD couldn’t while Jamal Murray was game’ing them on the other end? It’s not as simple as getting a couple of role players. Do you think we’re anywhere close to Boston who will only get better as our stars continue to age?

Yea that as well.

Legit big, legit 3 & D player and a scorer off the bench.

Its possible Knecht is the scorer, but we'll have to see him do it though.

I can explain away the regular season struggles on Ham. However, if DLO stays..if he could just consistently be that guy he is in the regular season it would go a long way.

Brehs talk about Bron, but DLO's % dropped 10 % on 3s and FG against the Nuggets in the playoffs. Even worse in 2023.
We gotta give up on DLO being a contributor in the playoffs, he is who he is

I still feel like Murray and a Capela is the option Lakers need to try and get. Hawks probably ask too much but those are the 2 guys

A HUGE part of the end of games was they stopped running offensive sets or plays. The #’s screamed that they were elite and getting whatever they wanted running set plays against Den then went away from it consistently in the 4th (it’s how they continually got big leads)

Now whether that’s Darvins fault or Lebron or both idk.. I tend to blame both of them for that. But there is a clear reason for the offensive issues down the stretch

Boston is its own animal. Not ignoring that. A healthy Porzingis makes them something different.

You're right that the Mavs have two of the best closers so they can overcome flaws of their roster.

We don't have to be Dallas to beat Dallas or these other teams imo. And yes Denver's stars obviously close better as well. However, the Wolves, Celtics, etc showed that a more complete roster is still a threat.

Today they aren't contenders. I want to see the final form before I say they are cooked cause we truly don't know what will happen with the roster. Reaves might take another step. Hell Knecht might help close, lol. And if JJ is smart he'll strategize how to use AD & Bron in ways to keep them fresh to close.

They are far away, but we're also far away from seeing what they do with the roster. If its just running it back with JJ and everybody the same. Then yea its cooked.

Yep if Rui had his same series against the Nuggets that he had last season they would have won too.

He averaged 15/4 on good percentages.

Him and Dlo shyt the bed in the playoffs.

But prior to this Rui has been good in the playoffs.

So did Denver. Their offense the past 2 playoff rounds against them was off broken plays and telling Jamal to get a bucket. It’s actually a big reason why they lost against Minnesota in game 7. Jamal couldn’t come thru and MPJ wasn’t hitting fluke shots off broken plays.

All of your dumb goofball bytch made narratives don't hold up

LeBron James averaged 9.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 5 games versus the Nuggets in the fourth quarter in the 2024 Western Conference First Round.

Anthony Davis averaged 4.0 rebounds, 3.2 points and 0.8 blocks in 5 games against the Nuggets in the fourth quarter in the 2024 Western Conference First Round.

Jamal Murray averaged 8.6 points, 2.0 assists and 1.6 rebounds in 5 games against the Lakers in the fourth quarter in the 2024 Western Conference First Round.

Nikola Jokic averaged 7.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 5 games versus the Lakers in the fourth quarter in the 2024 Western Conference First Round.

Man please nepotism’s been apart of this organization since Dr Buss bought it. Even when he was in charge they mostly stayed in the Lakers circle. I remember Magic as coach and Rambis later on. Even Pat Riley was in the Lakers circle when he got hired

This team won’t get any better because the front office doesn’t compare to the days of Bill Sharman and later Jerry West

Mitch Kupchak was also part of the circle. Even Ryan West still worked for the Lakers long after his dad left

But Jeanie just doesn’t know how to play that game as well as her dad did.

Nah DEN was spamming that PnR and the Lakers had no one to stop that action. It felt like they were running the same plays over and over again and the only plus defenders on the court were AD and Bron

The entire year this defense wasn’t what led the team to nearly 50 wins, it was the offense.. and that offense stalled in the 4th

Yep If Rui showed up offensively with the same 15/4 that he gave last season it would have been a 7 game series.

Dlo never shows up in the playoffs so you can't count on him.

Replace Dlo with Murray and the Lakers win the series 4-2

Uptown and the Bronx
nikkas crashing out over the 55th pick.

:hhh:
To me, that's not even the issue. Wack players get drafted every year.

It's the idea if someone wanted to crash out and draft Bronny sooner, that Klutch was gonna have an embargo on their clients to whoever took him.

and then they wanna pretend Redikk and Bronny are merit based decisions aimed at improving the team.

Rob might as well know that when he's fired Zhuri will take his place.
