The 30 year mortgage on that house alone will be nuts. The price of house sales is going to drive the rental market to unaffordable rates... Go back and listen to Bare Naked Ladies "If I Had a Million Dollars". You'd have to rename it "If I Had Ten Million Dollars" now. Toronto and the GTA are crazy expensive.

supply and demand. When people immigrate to Canada they are going to Toronto and Vancouver. We like to bring in Immigrants from China, India, Saudi Arabia…that part of the world and thry aren’t the poor ones. Thry are coming with money and buying homes. It will get worse as long as we go ape shot on immigration and keep supply low.

A lot of people can’t afford to move or upgrade to bigger homes. It is too expensive to do thry stay where they are thus limiting supply.

rents will certainly go up but I told y’all years ago to invest in property.

Thats the thing though, post Covid-19, the suburbs are almost as expensive, and sometimes more. Plus, the further out you go, the less work options you'll have, unless you work from home. How are students affording this shyt. All of it is a recipe for serious disaster.
