There was a shooting there this morning.
Six people arrested in connection with early morning shooting in city's Jane and Finch neighbourhood: police

Pay $390K to live in a high crime area. :francis:

My parents bought a house in thornhill for 310k in 2003 and I remember my dad being pissed because it was to expensive :heh:

I remember just five years ago I almost bought a brand new condo for 250k but my job wasn’t so secure then .

now that same condo five years later goes for like 550k for a one bdrm while the average person prob got a 5k bump in salary during that time

has to who can afford this?

These housing prices are not sustainable bro, and this was so before Covid hit..something has to give. I live at Yonge and Eglinton area and the amount of condo's that went up around my block over the past 5 years is unbelievable, and they're still demolishing old buildings/houses to build more...who is buying these properties?

This is what I'm saying. When you're saving up for a downpayment, your purchasing power is constantly decreasing - it's a terrible relationship

I look at a lot of stuff. The economics of Canada doesn't make sense.

Where in Canada can you go? There's no boom. You will see things recover after covid, but overall it's stagnant.

Real Estate, Retirement, Salaries, Roads, Public Transit, Education, Gov. Workers, Health care, etc. The list can goes on.

Things ain't making sense here.

FACTS...........soon as I'm done this degree I'm out.....you go on any real estate site, go on numbeo.com and see how much farther your money goes anywhere in the world............being in Toronto is just a str8 stress.....for what? to keep up with the "lifestyle"...I'm good.

You have to leave this market (Toronto) if you are thinking about buying or hold your money until a housing crash happens (if ever). It is not worth buying anything right now.
