:wow: just saw this. What do I say? To me, Birdman is the BEST movie this year, I won't hear a word against that. But this may be my personal favorite this year. Same reason that I loved Silver Linings Playbook more than the movies that came out same year as it did. It's an experience for me when I watch a movie that hits close to home and I can relate to a character like I did with Top Five and SLP. I may not be an "alcoholic" but I've been known to go overboard with the drinks about a year or two ago and I've calmed way the fukk down. Yet everybody wants me to be this guy that I don't know I can without being crazy like that. It never worked for me all it did was almost guarantee me I'd be dead or in jail someday. Ya know? He really nailed it with this movie. Happy as hell for Chris.

Also :ohhh: when I saw Wee-Bey

I knew I would love it but I really loved it. It was like a real "ADULT" black comedy. Of course I loved the whole idea that everyone's "Top Five" rappers was theme of the movie even though it wasn't the main focus of the movie. The jokes were harsh but still funny. Loved all the cameo's caused it worked. Everyone shinned even though they didn't have a lot of screen time. Rosario was fine as hell, she did great. I honestly didn't think it was going to be a romantic comedy but it still worked. I liked the raw NYC vibe. It almost felt like they were shooting this movie guerrilla style and just shooting anywhere in the city. But I really loved the movie, we need more Black Directors and Writers in Hollywood making their own major films. It helped that Chris has a lot of friends in the industry who I'm sure took pay cuts to do this movie. Lastly, Jerry Seinfeld had me dying.

I was lucky enough to watch an early cut of this joint like 6 months ago and it wasn't even complete but I loved it. Went to the movies to support and they did a good job of cutting some dead weight and shortening it without losing any of the great parts. This is probably my favorite comedy of the year and it's a flick I watch more than once. Most of the guest appearances were GREAT performances.

Saw it tonight with my girlfriend and we were both dying throughout. Absolutely loved it. Most everything about the movie has already been said but that final cameo was fukking perfect. :dead:

I'm disappointed this thread has a pretty low post count considering how fantastic the movie is.

I thought it was pretty damn good :obama:

Some of the bits were a little too on the nose though...Union's breakdown on the phone was particularly bad imo.

I hated the movie, I thought it was corny. It started off really good though
