Honestly black cinema needs more non traditional films like this to broaden the genre for films for us. I'm so tired of the rom coms and medea c00nin. I understand the need for slavery flicks for history / knowledge of self for future generations, but as talented as a people as we are we can accomplish so much more!!
I didn't want to be an a$$hole and say... "it's funny but you don't have to see it in theaters"... I was trying to be politically correct so people can still support it because it's a good comedy overall. But it's not something that you'll get more or less enjoyment out of depending on where you view it initially.

whats so funny is I wouldnt even hate on a real movie about the Haitian Revolution if it was well made
but u just know if they actually did try to make it it would have a random French savior that helped the slaves
