I saw it last night..Why don’t they just do a new story line with Kang the Conqueror as the dude behind the scenes like how they did Thanos?

And none of the Multiverse has crossed over in this..

No Loki?

It is what is…

Thor will return at the end so I guess we get Thor 5 with Hercules coming after him

How can you say that there are no connective tissue in phase 4 and that Loki hasn't affected anything?

Loki's actions directly led to the creation of the multiverse and introduced Kang. Without the Loki series, no Spider-Man: No Way Home nor Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness. We know that Kang will return as the villain in Ant-Man, so that's another movie it directly allowed and influenced, as it'll probably act as a foundation for phase 5 if they keep with Kang as the main antagonist.

Loki didn't create the multiverse. It was already there before Loki. There wouldn't be a female Loki if this wasn't the case.

The only thing Loki did was create more universes where Kang now exists.

This has no effect on No Way Home or Doc Strange 2 as their multiverse plots are completely unrelated and independent of it which is why both don't reference the show and didn't need to anyway. If the Loki show never existed nothing in those two movies changes at all.

Like the other poster said it's all a bunch of standalone stories.

The problems going on with phase 4 and to a larger extent with Marvel Studios is beyond Marvel's control. This has EVERYTHING TO DO WITH DISNEY and Bob Chapek. Bob Chapek do not care about quality, he only cares about profit and making these films microwavable just to cash in. It's not just Marvel that's been having mid to trash films and shows, but Lucasfilm, Pixar, Disney Pictures... all of them been low quality lately. Back in the Bob Iger days, it's UNHEARD-OF Pixar having a TRASH movie or a film that's mid. Lightyear is maybe this year's mainstream biggest flop. I feel a lot of the decisions made for Thor were due to the people outside of Marvel and Disney is wanting Black Panthers to not exceed 2-hrs if the rumors are true which is what they did with this Thor movie cropping a lot of shyt out.

I think the fact that Eternals was the biggest CRITICAL failure for Marvel, the people at Disney are panicking and making the same bad mistakes as WB did with Snyder and his people.

Na man…. Phase 4 check off every box some of y’all been asking for years now.

A lot of folks was wrong, time to just say “my bad” and respect was Marvel was doing, acknowledge it was fake complaining, and let them go back to what they do best

That's not true. There was no multiverse before the Loki series since Kang united it in a single timeline. The whole point of the TVA is to prevent the apparition of another multiverse by pruning alternative timelines before they develop. Female Loki only exists because she escaped before being pruned and survived by hiding behind catastrophic events that acted as natural prunings.

Timestamped:

Also, @1:10 they clearly reiterate that there is no multiverse and that their job is to prevent one from being born.

The whole point of both Lokis' decision in the finale was to accept to take Kang's role and prevent a multiverse from happening by looking over the timeline, or kill him, which would create a multiverse in which Kangs would war against each other and take back the throne anyway.

Without female Loki killing Kang, there would be no multiverse, and none of the events of No Way Home or Doctor Strange 2 could have happened. They can't be unrelated in-story since they're based on the multiverse the Lokis provoked. The fact that they didn't reference the show or even knew about is irrelevant in the same way a prequel doesn't have to be referenced by an original movie to be connected to it. I doubt phases' management happen at the level of individual directors anyway.

The fact is there is a clear connective tissue in this phase 4 and we'll never see eye-to-eye on this if we can't even agree on main plot points.

I legitimately think top gun, and to a lesser extent, dune, are fixing the theater and blockbuster narrative.

Make. Quality. shyt.

If you a blockbuster you better fukkin deliver in terms of production quality, CGI or practical effects, and I want to leave the theater satisfied.

Mcu ain't delivering that right now period. spiderman and LOKI is the only things that delivered in this season in terms of total experience and Spiderman is the only one that counts. That's a lot of bricks. And we ain't with that shyt period.

Top Gun, movie of the decade so far

Didn't get the chance to see Dune in theaters. Saw it yesterday on HBOMax and....

My God THAT is how special effects and setpieces should look. Not blatant looking CGI and Greenscreens, but look REAL. I see why it won the Oscars it did. That shyt was AMAZING.

AND the movie was dope.

I won't make the same mistake and will see Dune 2 in theaters next year. :damn:

That means there were other multiverses before Loki.

If someone loses a child at birth then has another, it’s not true to say they only had one child.

Um. As I said it has nothing to do with Marvel, but with Disney and Chapek.

Plus, what "checked box" are you referring when NOBODY asked for lazy writing to maximize off slapstick off-beat comedy and quips, terrible editing due to forced runtime constraints, and shoddy special effects which people who worked there complained and left Marvel because they're pitted into an assembly line trying to rush on the post-production by a specified deadline before hopping onto the next movie or series.

And again... not on Marvel or Feige, this is since Chapek took over after Iger retired. All of Disney properties have went to shyt.
