I've come to realize this is probably one of the greatest television series I've ever seen. Like this legitimately might end up in my Top 3 if it keeps up like this.

Those race riots, man... People ain't shyt, brehs. I had to double check after the episode if the creators/writers of this show really aren't black because of how the race issues are the biggest theme of the show after the evolution of medical science and on top of that it's none of that apologetic P.C. nonsense. Algernon laid out that guy that attacked him in the hospital with the quickness. That's my new GOAT black character on tv.

I loved how both the Algernon/Cordelia and Thackery/Lucy scenes played out. The first was a release of all the romantic tension that had been with them since childhood, the latter a nice showcase of Thackery's softer side as he let Lucy really decide whether she wanted him or not. He gave her every opportunity to let him leave and she invited him. That morning after scene with her in that daze and then getting giddy when she fully realizes what had happened was pitch perfect.

I was trying to think of others, but they're pretty arguable. I thought American Horror Story's first season was dope as fizzuck, but I've seen other people hate it. Dexter is a possibility but the bayharbor doakes shyt was season 2 wasn't it?

After this and true detective tv shows need to adopt one director per season.

Soderbergh every episode he leaves me speechless with his prowess. The camera angles he choose are breath taking.


Algernon is my favorite character in tv right now. Those race riot scenes made my blood boil.

Jesus christ at the scene of thackery sawing off dudes arm. This show makes me cringe at times.

I have just caught up on the latest eps and damn this show is so damn good. Everyone in this thread has said all that needs to be said about the show. It is a great show and I am most impressed on how they handle the racism. I know that hits close to home because I am black but I am glad they handle it realistically and the only way the black doctor got ahead was by his genius , skills a little bit of blackmail and threats.

Also the music is so good and a great choice for this era thanks @flyry for that link. And Steven Soderbergh is doing a great job directing this season. If this show does not get an emmy next year it will be a damn crime.
