There is if u have money to invest into rares/autos and save them for later resales. Other then that, its a crap shoot.

Even junk wax singles graded 10 are worth some money right now. What you try to do is buy boxes and pull one of those autos or silver prizms like @Regular_P did with the Ja card....Spending thousands on autos and prizms online is a crapshoot but a few hundred on boxes from the last 2 years is a reasonable risk given the potential payoff....

Bought it raw for fraction of the price 5 months ago. Sub'd myself. Was expecting 9
Gem'd :banderas:

Copped the JJJ slabbed psa 10 several months ago for a lot cheaper than it goes for now. Happy about that. I semi bought into Morant by acquiring a couple nice Jaren pieces before this season began.

They tryna tell me there's no money in cards tho

Its funny about the grading.....i sent 2 Lamar Jackson prizms in to be graded both were identical,1 came back a 10 and other was a 9.
I still look at both of them and cant tell the difference why ones a 10 and ones a 9...I have sent cards to PSA that i thought were gonna be 9s and came back 10s and i have sent cards that i FOR SURE thought were gonna be gem mts than came back 9s....

You bought that Luka raw ? :wow:

What a come up.

Ya, the grading is a mystery. Corners and Centering are everything. But then they randomly gem way off-center cards... I gently clean surface before I sub.

PSA is extra lenient with centering sometimes. That's the one thing BGS is much stricter on.

Ive seen quite a few PSA 10s that had imperfect corners, like inconsistent grading by different employees.

Depends on the name on the submission form. :mjpls:

There's plenty of iffy grades on both. Generally, I think PSA is tougher on edges, corners and surface but not always.

Look at this bullshyt:

I'm not 100% positive it's the same card, but I think it is. The bottom part of it is fukking mangled. I feel like mine should be an 11 after seeing that. :martin:

^^^ This is what makes me despise these grading company rackets....The hobby needs more grading options, these mufukkas are in bed with the scammers.

That's the fukking problem. There's a list of known scammers and the grading companies won't ban them. I don't know how there hasn't been any prosecution in this yet. :francis:

With that being said, these are my two greatest successes when grading. Both are pop 1's.

The Ultra Platinum is numbered to 50 and the Refractor Auto had insane pack odds like 1:3,300.

Prices are way up but a lot of good stuff resurfaced in the past couple weeks. I think most of it will be tucked away again so if Kobe collectors don't get it now, it'll probably be a while.

Word. I haven’t heard about sports cards being big money in YEARS

Because you aint heard about it dont mean it isnt....trust me it is.

The bubble might crash in a few years but right now with the last 2 rookie classes its lots of money to be made if you know what ur doing...

Possibly the next generational talent is in our midst right now, which means its money to be made in the hobby and alot of it....
