Babe, please take some kind of course on women or LGBT history or something. There are many Tumblr pages with moderators dedicated to helping people understand the terminology of sexuality. "Woman" has nothing to do with body parts or sex.

And I never said that "bytch" and "hoe" were worse than "female". I never replied with that response.

Both of you are reiterating the same sentiments; that "unknown women" get called "females". For some reason, "woman" is seeing resistance in your vocabularies. For some reason, we can't call unknown, unnamed women "women". We have to call them "females". We have to refer to them as their sex. We have to refer to them as their biological identities. We have to refer to them as their chromosomes. We have to refer to them as their vaginas. Why?

You would not call a female human "female". You would call her a "woman".

I'm not here to change your terminology, but I want to express why this word bothers me. I hate "females" more than I hate "bytches" or "hoes". "bytches" and "hoes" is obvious. These are ugly words. They're not meant to positive, but when I hear people using "females" so casually without regard to the connotations, I itch. I don't like when girls call each other "females". I don't like when girls call each other "bytch". Especially black women.

I'm one of those types.

A woman is an actual human being, a person. Female is not more formal than woman. You got it backwards.

Usually, when people say "females" they are referring to them as if their only sense of identity is what is between their legs.
