Got the bedroom audio rack done, MD unit came (@beaniemac ), along with Pangea Audio shelving. Mad props to Pangea for offering different height posts to customize the rack to your equipment

I swear nobody in the used market keeps original remotes for equipment, MD Sony oem remote ran another $45 on top of the deck. Forgot how nice MD was for editing, unfortunately my Denon network player has anti-copy on its digital outs, fortunately the pc doesn't have that. I had to run optical into wall jacks from one room to other where the equipment was. Now I can copy anything that played from pc.

Back at it, falling right smack in the middle of overkill land. Picked up a used SVS PB13-Ultra sub for a screaming deal from a local seller , these are way to heavy to ship (155lbs), and he (wife) wanted it out of house. Muscled it in the bedroom next to the Energy C7 towers. Let me be clear, there is no sane reason to have this sub of this size and power in a bedroom, it shakes half the house. I have the 16-Ultra in the living room, this is the predecessor, and SVS offers an amp upgrade which is basically the amp from the PB4000 (1,200 watts) with app support, getting it done.

Finally got the triple power recliner setup, middle one came from a professional A/V store, solid wood with leather. Owner didn't have the other 2 ready to sell yet so I had to substitute with ones from Amazon, not bad, right armrest flips open to reveal storage space and 2 USB ports along with standard 120V outlet.

Also picked up a Cyberpower LX1500GU UPS battery back up and surge protector. Has 5 battery-backed outlets and 5 standard outlets, gives you all the info you need on the current load of things plugged in, voltage in and out, and how much runtime you have if the power goes out.

@shutterguy! Pulled the trigger on upgrading the speakers in my 2-channel office setup. The current setup is below with stand mounted 10 year old Klipsch RB-61ii. For a room this small, these are actually pretty good for 6.5” horn loaded bookshelves…very good bass extension. Amp is a Yamaha AS1100 and the turntable is a Marantz TT15-S1. Using an Apple AirPort Express for streaming. I had some floor standing 10 year old RF82ii but they were too boomy for the space…bookshelves are all that’s needed in this room. I’ll post the replacements hopefully when they arrive on Friday.

Clean looking setup you got there!! Audio setup is nice and simple. I need to get a quality turntable myself, rocking an old Sony joint. That Prince D&P standee is NICE!! Fav artist right there. Loving the attention to detail music pieces you got around there too.

Appreciate it, bruh. Anything Prince related is the wife’s. I like him but not like that. Looks like you’ve slowed down on the acquisitions…anything in the pipeline?

🤣 on the Prince stuff. Yea, haven’t picked anything lately for HT, lasts thing was an Apple TV 4K unit. Had a line on another PB13-Ultra, ended up being sold. Only things in the pipeline are another PB16 and a miniDSP to time align the subs. Got sucked back into the photography gear lately, new lenses and a DJI RS4 gimbal.

@shutterguy . Aight. They came in…these are Wharfedale Aura 2s. Another stand mount but huge by stand mount standards. 45lbs each with 26lb stands. This is the piano walnut finish and it’s gorgeous in person. This is also a 3 way speaker vs the old 2 way and sound infinitely more full. Bass is 10x better and super balanced and smooth. My first foray into upper level speakers but these are considered mid-entry level upscale audiophile. Included old and new comparison. Gotta change out the console holding the components for something nicer and more sturdy next.

Stands are awesome and quality..

Man!!! Those speakers AND stands are jaw dropping stunning. It’s amazing what a nice finish other than standard black can do for speakers. Looks like ribbon tweeters???

Yes! AMT ribbon tweeters which is what Wharfedale is fond of using. I kinda wished they went with some silk tweets for a little softness but they aren’t annoying like my old Klipsch horns can get sometimes. But the balance with a three way setup is just awesome. The white finish is bomb too and would look fantastic in your space. These were discounted to $2700 from $3700 (stands alone are normally $1300😳) and they don’t seem to be selling. May be more discounts to come….
