Man, if you ever looked at some of the bullshyt them dudes be proudly posting on Reddit, you probably don’t have anything to worry about. You post and if you need suggestions, some of the experienced folks on here can offer suggestions. You’d be surprised how cheap good equipment is on FBM, Craigslist, EBay that most don’t know about…

So I said fukk it and decided to skip doing the cable management (and dusting). Not quite happy with the setup as the space is pretty restrictive, and since we're renting I can't really do what I want to do with the room, but I tried to make the best of it.

Small update, my Onkyo 11.2ch AVR is on it's way out, HDMI board problems and internal amp issues. Need a replacement so I am making the move to Marantz AV separates, 1st up is the 5CH MM7055, still gotta get the AV7706 Pre-Pro and MM8077 7CH amp to complete the setup. Dual SVS PB17 Ultra's on hold till I get the rest of the Marantz components.
Old school/New school setup is almost complete, picked up a Sony STR-DA5300ES, was top of the line back in '08, has 5 optical inputs, a MD Recorder optical out, HDMI, component/composite RCA, and most importantly a tape deck in/out. Sony 5 disc changer. Sony 3-head cassette deck with Dolby S and HX Pro, Sony MD deck, and my newer Denon network music player. Just gotta get a DAT and the rack will be complete.
