:deadrose: You told no lies and yes, duals is the plan.
My BMW I just got rid of was worth less than half the price of one of those subs. Crazy they can get that high, but that b*stard was shaking the whole media department when they demoed it. This was a wide open like 4000sq ft area with one sub, so I can’t imagine what two is gonna be like in your space. Subscribing for pics…:shaq:

Bruh, I am highly tempted to go down to SVS for demo, they right here in Ohio. Yea, I know they will literally shake the foundation, tryna make them my all out fukk-it, final subs for a long time. I will definitely update the thread as I get them, most likely 1st one then get the 2nd. I already did the measurements for fitment, one is gonna have to go in the back of the room.

Anybody looking to test their subs out, try Godzilla vs King Kong BD. Also Mortal Kombat 2021 :myman:
Yea, those will shake the house! Also the first race scene in Ready Player One. If you just trying to test your subs, the opening of Blade Runner 2049 will work them hard:lawd:.

Ay man, are you running a 7.2 or 9.2 setup? I’m thinking about upgrading my stereo speakers connected to my turntable and I’ll have two extra speakers I can put into the theater for a 9.2 setup. If you have a 9.2, did you notice a difference over 7.2?

Finally dropped the coin for the dual SVSs…went with the PB1000 pros. Was browsing in Nebraska Furniture Mart and realized that they had the PBs in stock. Salesman matched the price of the dual setup online at SVS and I took them home right away. Had an old Klipsch Sub12 and moved it back downstairs to the living room with the surround setup there. Had to test it with Blade Runner 2049 intro….BRUH!!! CLEAN bass makes a world of difference! It’s smooth and still gives you that punch. I gotta further calibrate it and get the levels up to my liking, but duals is the shyt!

I need to pick up both of those movies this week!!

I'm running 7.2.4, I'm all for adding extra speakers for the surround sound. Only difference I had in my setup was my prior AVR wasn't Atmos able and I didn't have the extra sub, so I had to run 7.1 , I couldn't believe the difference going to Atmos especially with Dolby processor able to upscale 5.1 and 7.1 to Atmos. I think I still have photos of the mockup I did with wires all over the place when I 1st got the Onkyo, lol.

Honestly, it’ll probably sound a lot better on one of @shutterguy ’s systems. He seems to have more musically-biased mains and subs whereas my stuff is really only good for home theater.

Will definitely check these out.

@shutterguy SVS subs look good but in my experience Rythmik and HSU perform better for the price

Ive tried 2 SVS subs(PC-4000 and PB16 Ultra) and returned both of them

they're good subs but overpriced

the PB16-Ultra was only slightly better than my HSU VTF-15H MK2 but costs 3 times as much

to me the Rythmiks are the best subs i tried hands down and ended up getting 3

they just sound more sharp and crisp compared to the others but the HSU is a beast for movies

these are the Rythmik subs I have

Mancave
Rythmik Audio • 15" servo subwoofer FV15HP

got 2 of these for the living room.I caught them on sale for $650 a piece
Rythmik Audio • 12" servo subwoofer LVX12

I still have the HSU but dont use it anymore. Its a great sub, just not better than the Rythmiks

Re-reading this as I am doing some thinking about the subs you mentioned, especially since you had a PB16 Ultra and it is currently on my shopping list. I actually want 2 of them, however I am curious as to why you returned the one you had? Do you think dual HSU VTF-15H MK2's would be close to dual PB16's as far as sound quality. Sounds like the Rythmik's were your favorite.

Slickdeals: Searching for "subwoofer"

I always check this site for deals.
I was checking Slickdeals out, the range was crazy. I have JAMO speakers so I was looking at the subs they had on sale, they look good aesthetically but I was reading they weren't all that. The other stuff was a bit out of the price range that I'm looking to pay atm. I have a sub in my family room currently, so this is really first world problems

Was just curious if there was any can't miss deals that anyone saw out there during these sales

Can't say I seen anything that popped out to me, I know last year SVS had Black Friday deals on their subs, I bought 2 on that deal.

Yeah the Rythmiks are great all around

for music the other subs can’t compare…for movies they’re all about the same. The HSU and SVS are a lil more boomy and the Rythmik has a sharper snappier bass

SVS subs are good but like i said they’re overpriced

the dual PB16s will be slightly better than the HSUs but its 2k vs 6k

save your money and get the HSUs breh

or get dual Rythmik FV15HP for around $3200

either would be a better choice than the dual SVS subs

this audio shyt expensive breh

1500 not gonna get you much unless you want a basic 5.1 setup

if you want a good atmos setup or need hdmi 2.1 you're gonna pay over $1000 just for the receiver

far as good receivers go i prefer Denons....Yamahas are good too

With the way my career is going, I'm putting this part on hold. I might be moving to a larger crib in less than five years. From there, mancave 2.0. will be on deck so a reimaging of things might be in order.

Much appreciated on the info, I will do some research into those models you mentioned.

Ohhhh and I see the VTF comes in a Rosenut finish :ohlawd:, same finish as my towers and center.
