So you ignore the part where Sony said the chat function will be disabled?

Not for the 3.5mm jack which the headsets that come with the system use for chat. I have the Pulse Elite headset bruh and have used it for voice/chat on my Vita through it's 3.5mm jack.

What more do you want?

You're talking to someone with the headset who has used it non usb through a 3.6mm jack.

In this case @Rekkapryde is right. There is not a codec to process its just a simple headphone jack with mic just like on a cell phone. But does severely limit his headphones capability.

I don't know about "severely". but it just become a regular headset.

You lose the virtual surround sound, but the bass impact is still there. Like I said, it's just reduced to a 2 channel stereo headset with a mic for chat headset. Still better than the mono stereo great value headset it comes with. Even the 360 and XB1 headsets are mono audio.

you are the only one holding on to this...take the L bruh.

chat is disabled for usb headsets, not for those going through the 3.5 mm jack. If they did, the headsets the system comes with wouldn't work.

The correct info is that you're fine to use your pulse elites if you use the stereo cord instead of the usb functionality
