think my aperture was wayyy to low. my girl said 11-16 for daylight indoors.

more test shots, than will check em out

any advice on whats a good shutter speed for daylight indoors?

no brah, it's a mix, get the mix right between aperture f stop and iso dog, there is no right way to shoot really.

About Metering... do you all try to take most of your shots with the Metering level as close to 0 as possible?

Yup... Try to get as close to 0 as possible but I dont really trip too hard if its a couple stops under/over exposed...I can easily adjust that in Lightroom.

If I'm in a situation where the meter is damn near at one end of the spectrum, then I need to stop and change my shutter speed or bump up my iso to something a bit more manageable.

In this pic, I purposely made sure I was underexposed just so the lights would stand out more so they could guide the eye down the hall...It didnt really turn out how i wanted, but :manny: u get the point

you can still shoot at f2. Just make your shutter speed faster. Like 1/2000th

at that distance, would he be able to get that cat in focus at f2?

Cool, so on the Canon joints, you have to slightly tap the shutter button for the meter stats to pop up?

I'm always reminded of it on the NEX cause it's always on the screen. It's a cool feature but I tend to get obsessed with getting the shots I take close to 0. Shooting in Manual I hardly ever mess with the exposure comp, or white balance.

Yup there is a distance scale on the focus ring. I believe with most lenses you can focus a meter infront or set the focus to infinity where everything is in focus.
