Any tips for manual shooting? Your post was very vague...

It's good to learn how to shoot manual because you'll be forced to understand when to adjust the basic settings of your camera.

Shooting manual means you'll have to manually adjust the aperture, shutter speed and the ISO for your shots. Understanding those 3 things are important just starting out.

i am a vague person. watch youtube videos, seeing people demonstrate stuff and the reasons for it is better than reading on forums. there might be a beginner guide for your specific camera. froknowsphotos and digitalrev tv are decent youtube chanels for some basics
