I tried to adjust the sliders to see if I could make it more realistic but it didn't work. I still had centers covering the entire court with a single bound, and fastbreaks still didn't exist.
If you're playing offline you gotta wait for the roster makers to fix tendencies and badges.

Nah, I actually do stuff like that myself. In this case it's a fundamental system issue.

The radius in which defenders can contest your layup gathers and create collisions with ballhandlers is too big. I'm too lazy to creste video but next time you get blocked from behind, actually pause the game and go into instant replay to analyze it. You'll see that bigs are sliding across the ground 5-10 feet like Michael Jackson to get into the play when they clearly should have been beaten. :mjlol:

Running plays works because this only happens on ball, so brehs who have been running plays this whole time love it, but that's not a realistic representation of NBA basketball. Not every team is running plays constantly ad nauseum to get their guys open especially on mismatches. This game might as well be College Hoops 2K22 because that's what the game is right now. :dead:

On ball defense is too good. Tried to make slashing SG in my player. Couldn’t blow by defender to save my life. And thats with me buying VC and leveling up my player quitt abit

Just said fukk it and made a elite defender/rebounding C with post game. Game much more fun as a big

Heard that as well that it’s easier for bigs this game.

Even adjusting player speed in sliders?

Yep.

I tried to make the defenders slower to compensate for bigs being too fast on defense, but the problem is that in a half court set, they still have this giant radius where they can cover ground in a blink of an eye and they will literally slide over to contest/block everything. You can get to the hole on PnR but that's only if the big man is late to the hedge, if he even slightly hedges you he bumps you and you're stuck. This is supposed to open up the pass to the roller but the guard is always in perfect position to steal it and if you throw an alley they usually swat it away.

PnRs work, but not consistently on a realistic basis, you'll find yourself calling PnRs multiple times on possessions just get the defender to guard it "just right". Isos basically don't work at all, only if you start them from nearly halfcourt so that way it's a straight up foot race. Sliders in this game can't unfukk this game's collision system. :pachaha:

Smh thanks for the info.:francis:

I bet MyNBA is still a mess. Especially with the G-league players and draft classes. :francis:

Yeah, I'm kinda noticing that on the fastbreak the transition D gets to the ball handler way quicker than in the half court. Probably similar speed to those chase downs. I'd really hate for them to cave in too much and turn this into NBA Jam like last year though.

People don't want them to "cave", but "caving" is not the problem. We wanted better defense, but this is not REALISTIC defense. So they just replaced a problem with a problem. I don't care how good you are on the sticks, if I have Kyrie and you're guarding me too close with Marc Gasol, I should be blowing past you 10 times out of 10. You'll need to sag off closer to the rim and give up a jumper because Marc is not mobile enough to defend Kyrie off the dribble. That's just realism.

There's a happy medium between this and last year, it's not really about "caving".

You know what I mean. If 2K patches this they're going to go in the complete different direction instead of tweaking.
