The first thing....nah. Sam Esmail has said everything you see is real, the only thing that changes is surface stuff. Like Elliot getting beaten up by dirty COs instead of random goons on the street.
The second thing, definitely. I read that scene as "the fans know we bit off 'Fight Club' in season 1, let's fukk with them". Because as you know Tyrell not being real was a common theory this season.
