Him claiming it wouldn't take donor money away from the AD is inaccurate, other ADs have voiced concerns over this and boosters don't have unlimited money. He doesn't even need Warde's permission to start a 501c, so what does he need the AD for? What does he mean by "sharing donations with athletes" in his subsequent tweets? Does he want the AD to redirect a percentage of donations to his scheme? Or does he want the AD to share its donor list? This is one side of a story and he's not providing much detail.

Yes, that's called a contract negotiation. Warde seems to have overplayed his hand. However, it's incredibly naive to think the guy who flew to Minneapolis, on NSD, for an interview that he thought was a formality is only seeking NFL offers as leverage.
