Any news on Jadyn Davis?
Here’s some news/notes and even thoughts on Michigan football recruiting:

- With the news breaking of Jim Harbaughstaying at Michigan courtesy of Santa Ono, it’s certainly a step in the right direction on the recruiting trail for the Wolverines. However, I don’t anticipate the negative recruiting to stop even after he signs his new contract, but it might not be as bad depending on how that contract looks in my opinion. Either way, it was very important that ultimately a decision was made and now recruiting should finally start getting going.

- Now that it’s official Jim Harbaugh will be back, I personally it helps Michigan’s chances with a couple five-star targets in do-it-all phenom Nyck Harbor and junior five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis. Harbor will be signing in February and Davis has seemingly been on the verge of making a decision for sometime now.

- Jim Harbaugh is on the West Coast recruiting and stopping by the school of Top247 tight end commit Hogan Hansentoday. One more quick note, but I expect he will also stop by the school of Yelm (Wash.) 2024 four-star linebacker Brayden Platt while in the state. Hansen recently told me on his recruiting efforts with Platt saying, "My guy Brayden Platt has definitely been a priority. I'm trying to get him to go down to Ann Arbor with me."

- Staying out West, I'm hearing Michigan has been trending with Stanford commit, 2023 defensive lineman Cameron Brandt. The 6-foot-3, 260-pounder will be taking an official visit to Ann Arbor this weekend and I wouldn't be surprised if they flip him to the Maize and Blue after this trip. This will mark his first ever visit to campus. He didn't sign with the Cardinal in December as he wanted to take a closer look at his some of his other options, manly Michigan following the departure of head coach Davis Shaw. Defensive line coach Mike Elston has been making an impact in this recruitment and leading the charge here.

- Michigan had brought in two elite 2024 defensive backs in this past weekend with five-star Bryce West and four-star Jacob Oden. I’m told the Wolverines knocked it out of the park with each of them and sounds like they’re the top guys on their board in the secondary. Most encouraging sign out of the weekend was the connection West and Oden made with each other, who talked about the possibility of teaming up at the next level together.

- One defensive back that I’m very high on is local standout Jalen Todd. He recently told me at the Rising Stars MLK Camp was that his communication with Michigan has been lukewarm and he will actually be visiting Wisconsin this upcoming weekend. Reading the teas, it seems like he’s on the back burner for the Wolverines right now.

- On Saturday, Michigan had one of its most important prospects on campus in Top247 running back Jordan Marshall. The highly-touted tailback briefly talked to me about his trip: “It was great. I got to hang with Coach Hart. Going to the Big House and that place is freaking amazing. The hockey game was so freaking cool. They were hitting each other. Me and Coach Hart got to laugh and just have a good time. It was amazing just being there.” In addition, I’ve heard his relationship with Hart is very strong and their personalities mesh together extremely well.

- Michigan will have a number of recruiting visitors in town for these next two weekends including a top target in one of the nation’s elite linebackers in Aaron Chiles. The hard-hitter from the DMV is considered one of the Wolverines’ top linebackers this cycle and has a strong rapport with linebackers coach George Helow. He recently told me this, “Coach Helow is my guy. We’ve built a very good relationship in the past couple of months and I talk with him and Coach Minter all of the time. (Coach Helow’s main message to me is) that he believes I’m the best backer on his board and he will do whatever it takes to get me and in general we have just built a good relationship and I trust him." Furthermore, Chiles hit me up following the Harbaugh news and told me, “I’m excited (he’s coming back)! That’s major!” Lastly, he stated that Michigan sits in his top five and super pumped for his first ever trip to campus on January 28th.

- Another top target that will be visiting for one of Michigan’s Junior Days is 2024 wide receiver I'Marion Stewart. The speedster will be back in Ann Arbor this upcoming weekend and he messaged me immediately following the breaking news about Harbaugh returning saying, “Man, it’s always good to hear a legend staying to continue the legacy of THE BIG HOUSE.”

- The Wolverines just offered one of the state’s top underclassmen in Detroit Cass Tech 2026 offensive lineman Khalief Canty. This kid will be big-time and recently saw him at a camp a few weeks ago and he’s legit at 6-foot-5, 305-pounds. He’s going to be a name to remember as the Technicians as several youngsters who already hold a Michigan offer like CJ Sadler and Alex Graham.

Detroit Cass Tech 2026 OL Khalief Canty has an early Kentucky offer and has been having good reps at the Rising Stars camp so far today.
