Damn I wish I didn't start reading this thread :snoop:

Is that just speculation or are they really his personalities?

Matter of fact don't answer that

*leaves thread*

I will answer it. No, they're not. The character has the ability to absorb psyches so at some point they might end up a part of him, but as of yet there is zero indication that any living character is another personality of his.

I'm just saying that in the comics, David got over a 1000 different personalities and each and everyone got a special mutant power. If they're sticking it to who he is in the comics, then I would not be surprised that all of those other mutants that are with him are merely different personalities of him with their own specific power. What's been said that David can DO in the comics, beyond the completely absurd, has been done in some ways in this first two episodes. We already seen the telekinesis, telepathy, teleportation, reality bending, body separation, and even time traveling by way of memories (even implies messing up the time line if he intervenes into those memories). This is what is said David can do in the COMICS, and what we already seen mostly by the other so-called mutants doing. This mainly have me believing that those are HIS personalities. I do not TRUST any perspective that is with David.... I think 80% is in his mind and just the 20% is reality and those are the scenes that do not have David in them, such as in the hidden government facility when they were discussing how dangerous he can be and he should be killed if they cannot sustain him or when the Eye kidnapped his sister and intends to torture her at the end of the episode, I believe THAT'S real. Other than that, I do not trust anything from David's perspective. From my own guess, David has different personalities and some of them good and some of them of evil entities and he has an internal war to where the good personalities are trying to teach David to grab self-control of who he is and what he can do. Sorta of trying to gain knowledge of self..

But that's just my own theory.

What is going on breh?

I'm so LOST :to:

I'll explain what's happened so far, if you got questions let me know.

Legion is an X-Men character, he's Professor X's son. In the comics he has multiple personalities and each personality has a power.

In the show he was a normal kid, at some point he started reading minds and thought he was going crazy.

Untitled1_zpsmmze33s1.png

He started doing drugs and seeing a psychiatrist, it didn't help. He got into an argument with his girl friend and fukked up the kitchen with his mind.

08-legion-kitchen-1.w710.h473.gif

He tried to commit suicide, and people thought he was really crazy. They sent him to a mental hospital. He was drugged in there so his powers were mostly calm. While in there he met Syd, who also has powers. She claimed she had a phobia of being touched, when really she would body swap with people that touched her. The doctors let her go and Legion was so upset he ran up and kissed her....and they swapped bodies.

Legion (in Syd's body) left, because Syd was released from the hospital. Syd (in Legion's body) lost control and accidentally used his powers to fukk up the hospital. That's why all the doors were gone, and Lenny was dead inside the wall.

The good guys (Melanie Bird, Ptonomy and Kerry) and the bad guys (Division 3, The Eye, etc.) noticed he used his power, so they came to the hospital. The good guys got there first, and snatched up Legion (Syd).

Meanwhile Syd (Legion) was chilling outside when he changed back to his own body.

Untitled2_zpsohkb36ax.png

At the same time (shown in episode 2) Legion (Syd) was in the car with the good guys and changed back to herself.

Untitled3_zpsj26e7toz.png

Legion went to his sister's house, and later the bad guys grabbed him. That's where he is at the end of episode 1, when the good guys rescue him. Episode 2 they took him to Summerland, a place for mutants to practice their powers and hide from the bad guys. Ptonomy (black dude above) has the power to enter peoples memories so they travel into Legion's mind to find out what's wrong with him.

That's the story so far in a nut shell. All that crazy shyt you see, the flash backs, the yellow monster, hasn't been explained yet. Some people think the yellow monster is The Shadow King, a villain from the X-Men comics.

Not feeling this shyt at all. Perhaps it's because I don't have an affinity with comics, at all. Or perhaps it lacks an identity and is one tick away from being a complete empty mess.:manny:

Great synopsis but I swear in episode 2 it was implied he killed his ex accidentally. When they were going through his memory and he had the freak out in the kitchen.

About that, it's just a theory of mine but...

I think he indeed killed his ex and the demon with the yellow eyes is like his conscience haunting him whenever he uses his powers. That's why he saw him in Lenny's face when they were vaping because he subconsciously feared killing her too like his last girlfriend.

Just a theory because everything is possible lol

Thought this episode was really good I liked how they used Ptonomy to go through all of David's memories really clever way to explain some of this shyt going on in David's head. The scene where they teach him to tune out the voices was really cool too.

1. Yeah, but that's how the mental illness is in real life too. Every personality tries to take control.

2. He has several that are cosmic tier and/or can warp time and space. Some are evil, some just fukk things up accidentally.

Legion (Marvel Comics) - Wikipedia

Created as a contingent against Dr. Nemesis's tampering, Moira Kinross/X (Personality ???), was created to protect Legion's mindscape. A powerful Reality Warper who created the dystopian future world dubbed Age of X, acted as David's mother, who would be seen as a hero within this world. All by building a pocket reality that X could control near undisputed, being a powerful mentalist in her own right, she was able to best Professor X in psychic battle with ease, as well as alter the mindsets and personas of fabricated entities both natural and unnatural in her reality.

Through the personality of The Legion (the name given to Personality #5 and Legion's "real me"), he can warp time and reality and in this form was responsible for the creation of the Age of Apocalypse reality. Magik nicknamed this personality as the "God-Mutant."

Legion’s 15 Most WTF Personalities

Described by David himself as “one of the heavy hitters,” this obese personality appeared in David’s mind in the form of a Sumo wrestler. There, he possessed almost superhuman strength, making him a very difficult persona for David to take powers from.

But super-strength was not Origamist’s power in the real world. There, he could “fold reality,” allowing him to alter the very structure of things, from the smallest of microbes to entire worlds of the grandest scale. He could also create anything he could think of out of thin air, and travel through space and time at any distance. (No wonder he was considered a heavy hitter.) David used Origamist’s powers to escape from the X-Men once, and to knock Chamber down a few notches.

The etymology of his name should be obvious by now: just as practitioners of Origami fold paper to create various objects, the Origamist folded reality.

Which scene? In episode 1 she's still alive after he wrecks the kitchen, and leaves him:
