would you say butter is better than drinking like 30ml olive oil?

i dont know shyt about healthy fats, etc.

i used to eat lard breh

You might get differing opinions on this. I've been on keto forums and keto groups where they encourage using fats like butter liberally. It's encouraged over margarine or other butter "substitutes". I think the difference between butter and olive oil is negligible. But honestly, I'm doing a lot of reading up and acclimating myself to this; this is the first time that I've really dived hard core into doing keto. I had heard that the combination of keto and intermittent fasting was supposed to be :blessed: I really have only one "meal" a day which is usually either eggs/cheese scrambled in butter with some bacon and sausage, or meat with either broccoli sauteed in butter or a salad with full fat dressing. I then send up with a smoothie with greens, a little frozen fruit, vegan protein powder, avocado, stevia mixed in either water or unsweetened almond milk. I would suggest looking at videos of Eric Westman or other promoters of ketogenic diets on youtube as they could definitely provide more valuable insight to answer your questions than I could.

About to come back from vacation, brehs I been humbled :wow:. About to start the keto diet immediately. Haven't done one in 3 years so my body shouldn't be use to it. Palumbos is still the best right ?

on my 5th day of keto. feel like shyt:mjcry:.....I started on the traditional keto diet. high fat, moderate protein and this shyt is terrible. I gotta eat over 200 grams of fat. i'm literally drinking olive oil out the bottle just to get my fat in...shyt has killed my appetite completely. I've lost 5 lbs in 5 days. way faster than I planned. i'm prolly gonna do the palumbo from now on. this high fat shyt is is destroying me.

gotta say i'm a little disappointed with the results. i've been able to hold on to most of my muscle. definitely more muscular after this cut, but I feel like my stomach looked way better on a regular low calorie cutting diet. shyt doesn't make sense to me. how could I cut down to the same weight, have more muscle and my stomach look worse. do notice a few days after my cheat meal my body looks better though. maybe keto is just making my muscles look flat:yeshrug:

OK breh, Finally we got someone in this thread, I've been hoping some of yall would conversate in here so it motivates me. You eat whatever you want, dont try to go clean, I think Dave Palumbo said eat whatever you want but dont go extremly overboard with the calories, like dont eat 10 k calories, and eat whatever youre eating within an hour <<I always eat for like 3 hours on cheat meal.

im the same way bruh, but I like how i look in dress clothes. But yea I think its the flatness fo the muscles, what I'm going to do is Keto for like 6 weeks, jump on a low carb healthy diet, at maintanence levels, and I think i should be good. I'm on day 8 of my first week back on it, this time im not falling off (knocks on wood)

Have you and @((ReFleX)) looked into Carb Nite Solution or Carb Backloading?

I never heard of carb nite solution, backloading, i've heard of it but not too familiar with.

CNS is more or less carb cycling but not emphasis on actually getting into ketosis. 10 induction of 30 useable carbs (Carbs minus fiber) or less on the evening of the 10th day eat carbs as you wish. After that you cycle that same 30 useable carbs a day for 5-7 days and then have another "Carb Nite" depending on activity level. Primary goal is fat loss. I've been goofing around with it and seeing consistent movement on the scale down. I'm usually a little over the 30 grams per day but I plan on running it full tilt starting next week.

Back Loading is basically saving the carbs until post workout only. The methods is supposed to allow for strength gains. @ocmfII might be able to comment

Nothing revolutionary but interesting slants on low carb/ultra low carb

I would try it bro, but palumbo keto for me is extremly simple, thats why I like it. Maybe in the future I'll try backloading. If i'm eating a regular balanced maintanence diet, is it bad to skip carbs after the workout, lets say the post workout meal is the last meal of the day and you only get carbs from fiber?

No problem, I'm just throwing it since you are in that keto/low carb arena.

As long as it's allowing you to function performance wise and in general. I don't think it matters. Your body is going to make carbs if you need them anyway.

the thing is my strength is fine. i've actually kepy all my muscle from when I started. it's my body that don't look great. after my last cut where I used a regular 500 calorie deficit diet, my abs were much more visible. now I've cut down to the same weight. I have more muscle, but my abs just look flat as hell. my arms, chest, and back look noticeably bigger because of the muscle gain, but I can't understand why my stomach looks so soft. actually all through keto, the look of my body has been very inconsistent. one day my muscles will be poppin, some days I look soft over all. doesn't make sense to me. really contemplating just ditchin the keto and going back to a regular cutting diet.
