Was doin my cardio and One of the dudes was watching me and told me I have unseen abs. Just do more intense cardio. He said a month Of HITT and a good jump rope routine would have my ab shining through definitely by the end of the summer no later.
My girl starting to annoy me though. She Not supporting me but that’s cool. I don’t need her support but I also don’t need her trying to discourage me from bettering myself. I don’t know what her motive or reasoning is but it’s really starting to annoy me she basically want me to stop the Keto lifestyle( really months ago) and I guess eat undisciplined again.
Makes no sense to me. One thing I make sure not to do is NOT force my lifestyle on ppl. I don’t tell her or my son how to eat. I just sit back and let them do them. It’s not easy to sit in the car and watch your fam order some baconator cheese burger from checkers or pizza, or IHOP and just sit back and watch them consume that delicious smelling food but I don’t resist temptation and let them enjoy themselves. I don’t ask her to look at me or my progression. I just change everything on my own. I shop for my own food, and make my own side dishes. She even eats some of my lifestyle food. If it’s your normal way of eating, I assume you been doin Keto a long time. If so what’s your daily limit for carbs? I heard ppl who are well into the lifestyle, can actually eat 50 carbs daily and still be ok(in ketosis)
Ive been on keto since last monday, pairing it with intermment fasting and weight lifting 6x a week. Ive gone from 274 to 261. Not bad ima stick to it for another month i need to get back down to 225
I have notice a slight decrease in my strength
Im hitting my reps but i really have to push hard. Also alcohol on keto is a no-no. I drank about a pint of jameson which is nothing to me and i woke up tnrowing up hard. My tolerance has gotten extremely low so i might just cut it out or stick to 1-2 drinks
I was surprise yesterday when I check my ketones with the piss strips. I stopped checking about three weeks ago because I didn’t much care about being in ketosis anymore and I though I had run out of the urinalysis strips but I found one in the medicine. I’m getting ready to transition out of Keto. So I have still been doing low carbs food but I been eating a lot of vegetables and fruits. Slices fruits like cantaloupe pineapple even tangerines. Salmon and crab cakes . I definitely felt like I haven’t been disciplined to the strict 25 carbs or less rule. I took the last urinalysis strip yesterday and got a high ass reading of at least 8 mmol or more. When I was truly dedicated to the diet I never got a high result like that. It was always a minimum or optimal reading

I just ness with the strips because they’re a lot cheaper but I’m goin to eventually the blood testsThats good, just remember when your fully fat adapted piss strips are not that good as its measuring excess Ketones your pissing out, once your fully adapted you wont have much excess as thats all your body is running on.
I use blood tests as a more accurate reading of Ketones
At this point I’m pretty sure I’m close to 40-40-20 in macros. I consuming a lot of proteins and fiber since I’m working out a lil more. Most of my fats come from snacksYeah, any type of cutting will result in strength loss - just try lift as much as you can so your body has a reason to keep the muscle.
But remember you will LOOK like your strong as hell when your ripped long as you been lifting and have muscle when that fat melts away boy
