im thinking about jumping on this next week (for about a month).

Is the calorie intake about the same as a normal diet? or do you eat more?

Seems like you basically eat protein and non starch veggies (some berries are ok)...also, keep the fat content high...
...is that about right?

Which keto strips do you recommend ?

I'm far from an expert on this but it really depends on how accurate of a reading you want.

I've used the Walgreen ketostix

Which are fine if you just want to know if you're in ketosis or not. I've read that if you stay in ketosis long enough, your body will adapt and you will no longer urinate the same amount of ketones and these strips will become less effective.

I just bought this 2 weeks ago, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you got extra cash laying around.

The meter is $25 and the ketone strips that you use with it is $50 for a box of 10 strips. Only reason why I bought it is becuase I was curious to see the exact level of ketones in my blood. I probably won't be buying anymore strips after I use the strips I already have.

been on keto for three weeks now and it's not to bad

:pachaha:gonna cheat on memorial day tho but I ate nothing but salad on saturday and fasted on sunday

i'm taking in 170 grams of carbs right now on 2400 calories and it's tough. I have to get some of that before my workout and most after or i'll be fatigued and tired. i get in about 50-70 grams of fiber tho so instead of just dropping my total carb intake, i look at net and figure that would be low enough for me. so far i'm seeing more definition so i'm happy. i didn't realize ppl had a carb reload day while on the keto diet :ohhh:i usually have a cheat meal once a week but it'll usually be high fat and protein meal like fried food or chinese.

Started keto yesterday after coming back from Dallas and feeling like a bloated mess. I have already dropped 6lbs of water 2 days into it :russ:

My carb intake has been heavy for a while and I usually adapt to keto quickly but not this time. Today I was struggling and everything sounded oh so tasty. I saw some lenny and larrys cookies and was like :feedme:

i love those. i try to squeeze 1 or 2 of these a week by replacing this with my carb meal. gourmet bread is one of my favorite things to eat so i look like a fiend when i get that urge for some :sadbron:

How are you near a keto diet on 100 grams of carbs per day?
