I meant before he met Joe. A lot of people that Joe knows in sports and entertainment are through MalRight, idk why nikkas trying to make it seem like Mal was making moves in the entertainments. Just cause his brothers connected doesnt mean mal was doing his thing. We hear Rory was an A and R or some shyt for Sony, but not really much on Mal other than sleeping on couches and being a basketball husband. It doesnt matter how connected and in the industry his brothers are if he doesnt know how to utilize those connections.
Looks like Joe started rapping in 99/01 when he was like 19/20. Pump it up came out in 03 when Joe was like 23.
What moves was Mal making in 99-03 to be getting the money in entertainment before Joe?

So what was Mal doing in entertainment, before Joe, that made him money? Just because Joe may have met other people thru Mal, doesnt mean Mal was some power broker or something behind the scene in the entertainment industry getting money. The fact that Mal is brothers with Hip Hop, Biggs, and sorta close to Jay means other celebs(especially in the music bizness) will tolerate him.

All the damn time. There are stories all throughout history of entertainers and athletes having hanger ons who was basically the drug connect. The junkies want them close so they can get their fix at any time and most are living above their means (like Joe was with the mansion) and want people around them to stroke their egos.
