Its like if Nas and Hov did a verzuz. Cole is better than Wale and Meek in almost every metric as a true emcee but when it comes to catalog and music that would knock in a competitive environment, he's getting cleaned up.

How does Cole even respond to songs like 600 Benz or Litty Again? Cole would need to pull 90% of his list from his features if he dont wanna put the crowd to sleep.

You can't convince a nuanced listener that Lil Baby is just this special unicorn. Although I think he can build a roster around himself.

Both Baby and Durk are the go to feature hits in the industry and giving a lot of artist hits. Those Nicki songs were the most successful songs she’s had in years. Durk hopped on a Coi Leray song and launched her career into the mainstream

Durk solo songs are not touching Baby’s. Lil Baby had a legendary run of hits leading into My Turn and after it’s release. My turn is still in the top 15 of albums sold every week 2 years after release

Lil baby is probably selling 200k plus first week when he drops. Durk can’t touch that yet

While I don’t think Durk has caught up with or lapped Lil Baby I can see why he says that. It kind of feels like Lil Baby has plateaued a bit. He’s dropped like 2-3 singles/songs the last couple of months and they cool but they aren’t really buzzing heavy like that. Add the fact that he’s said he’s not going to do songs like “Bigger Picture” going forward makes me feel like he’s basically gonna just do more of the same which is what “Frozen” and “In a mintue” feels like. Durk has leveled up and in terms of being “hot” at the moment he’s towards the top of list but I don’t think he reached the level where his songs or features make you stop what you doing and just listen. So while I don’t think Ice is right at the moment I could see us looking back in a year or two and it not sounding crazy
