Make Em Say Ughh ... Silk da Shocker
What is this forums obsession with Wale lmao, Cole cleaning that house easily
Thats fukked up though, If a landlord trying to get the same shyt off then it would be a problem. The pandemic discussion and not paying rent is not moral discussion. I understood Ish point, but I agreed with Surf and Joe more, they just didn't word it properly imo
The reason I wouldn't pay rent even with the extra 600 a week is because in a pandemic, I have no idea how long this is going to last and additionally, I don't know what the job market or the world is gonna look like when it's over. I'm going to be save up while I can, as long as I'm not breaking any laws. So if the government says I don't have to pay my rent during this time, then I'm not paying it. The landlord not being able to pay the mortgage sucks, but that comes with owning property. You take unexpected losses and you have to account for that whenever you invest into any business. That's not my responsibility as a renter, nor am I morally wrong for not paying rent when I'm not obligated to.
And also Surf had a point but he lost it because Ish took him off course. Same way if I lost a job, and I'm not getting an extra 600 a week for unemployment, I'm still obligated to pay my rent, and the landlord doesn't care that I can't and they're not morally wrong for still asking for their rent. I owe them, and if I don't pay, they have the right to kick me out. That's part of the responsibility of renting out a property is to pay for it.
I think he was wrong on the Air BNB talk but not on the rent/moratorium shyt.Ish sounding crazy during this Air B&B debate
I don’t think he realizes how ugly it could’ve gotten had the richest people decided to buy up most of the housing properties in the country and turn them into Air B&Bs basically forcing people to pay daily rent
dude really is a capitalist piece of shyt
That's not the same thing. For starters, owning a business and renting a property are not the same in terms of obligations and you're not under the same guidelines. When you buy into any business whether it be a restaurant, property, investments, etc...business failing, unexpected changes in the economy, inflation, property damage, etc.. are your burden as an OWNER and have to be accounted for. This is why people tell you, if you buy something to own, make sure you have enough money to cover costs if everything fails. Because there's not a lot of protection for owners in a lot of these cases. Owning is not a sport for people who are just getting by or can't afford losses.Thats fukked up though, If a landlord trying to get the same shyt off then it would be a problem.
If a mofo's air breaks in the summertime and I come with that same energy of "That comes with renting property" or "You should've accounted for that" then that would make the landlord the worst person in the world right?
You are morally wrong for not paying rent when you signed a lease giving your word that you would pay this amount every month. We get on Joe all the time about not honoring contracts or skipping out on them, It's the same exact thing. If my tenant feels as if they don't have to pay rent and honor their lease, Then I should be able to raise their rents mid lease.
Nobody knew when that shyt would end though and it went on for over a year and is still going on in some places. If i'm a landlord i'm going over year without that income.....12 months....Thats a long ass time breh....That's not the same thing. When something goes wrong on your property like heating or air being broken, you are obligated by law to fix it, because there are codes and conditions mandated by law for people to live under when they rent on something you own. That's totally different from a renter who is only obligated to pay rent.
And the government just put a pause on landlords ability to evict tenants for unpaid rent, it's not that you are no longer obligated to pay it, you still owe that rent once the moratorium was over. And if you don't, you will be evicted.
It was a fukked up situation bro, I think the moratorium should've been in place for the landlords too.Nobody knew when that shyt would end though and it went on for over a year and is still going on in some places. Alternatively I could just continue to let shyt break/not fix issues and force you out and get someone who will pay rent in there. It violates the lease and you can leave but if you not paying me anyway then why would i give a fukk?
