The problem with renovating an old house is the more stuff you do, you find stuff that needs to be completely replaced.
:mjcry:

Contractor found another $500 worth of stuff that needs to be done with these old ass, bullshyt ass plaster walls.

:mjcry:
On top of that, I have to keep rearranging the days I work from home, and go to the office because I have to be here.

:beli:

I’m considering having them do all the wall prep and patching, and painting myself with my dad and brother in law to save money. But I want it done right. No vacation for me this year.

:mjcry:
Already spent about 2200 on flooring, the 500 buying paint, and 300 on the electrician plus the 2800 and counting for all the paint prep and patching

But it’s going to look so nice when it’s done

AND

I asked the guy that does the lawn to come WEEKS ago, and he still didn’t come. Dude lives 4 houses down. So I got someone else to do it, and the original guy had the nerve to be looking over from his own freshly mowed lawn like,

:dahell:

We get warnings from the city if our lawns are the least bit overgrown, AND I bought $200 worth of flowers, and I want my shyt to look nice. I need to buy a weedwacker

I'm gonna be posting a lot more in this thread. I'll be back in my own home again by late july, and I got some projects to get done.

I'll be moving into somewhere new within the next 3-4 months so the same here. Planning on getting something bigger that I need to do work on.

I'll be posting my little DIY projects etc

Getting solar panels installed this summer. No cost to me and will cut my energy bill in half.

Got my lawn looking lush again, just seeded it and grass started growing again. Still gotta put down the grub killer when it's time.

Hoping to have the basement bathroom done sometime in the fall. Just in time for the holidays.

Wasp nest is back :snoop:
so the regular $2 or less can of wasp/hornet spray don't work for you? when you spray a nest don't knock the nest down, leave it so that wasps that aren't home and return later are also killed, it has residual killing power. if the relatively cheap retail stuff doesn't work look for a well reviewed professional product at doyourownpestcontrol.com. i don't have a recommendation with regards to the pro stuff there because the $2 spectracide cans work for me.

The nest is in a corner of my roof that is out of my reach. :snoop:
We were able to knock it down previously using the water hose. Im gonna have to get pest control out here to actually spray something.
