Some professional tree cutters wanted 3500.
Found an illegal Brazilian who is going cut all 3 down for $800.:whew:
if it's near the street or in the open backyard i just get anyone who fancies themselves a tree cutter and go with the lowest price, but near my house/roof you have to be licensed and fully insured for at least a mil because i'm not going to be stuck with a headache if some shyt drops on my house. when they're dropping cut up pieces of the trunk on the ground there are huge indentations that require me to lift up some sod and backfill with topsoil just to get it even again so i can only imagine if one accidentally drops on the roof.

The Comfort Zone
Things at my crib are going quite well. The Vice Prez of the board has taken to me. He is like grandpa now. I'm gonna try to get on the board either this year or next year :lolbron:

Equity still lookin' :wow:

I'm itching to buy an investment property but I want to pay down some other debt first. It should take me maybe 1-3 years (depending on how this real estate agent thing goes). I've seen condos in the greater Atlanta area for like 10gs...makes me wonder. I have no interest in being a landlord in NYC :scust: I need a place where a deadbeat renter would get thrown on their ass quick. Any advice?

If that brazilian is in Atlanta, send him my way.

I have at least 2 i wanna cut. Could be 4. Last quote i had was $800 each. Worst quote i got was $2000 each. Funny thing is the $800 quot was a legit company and the $2000 one was some random dude i saw cutting trees at a house down the street
Nah, this is here in Massachusetts.

No, the trees are in the backyard and they do not lean over the house.
This Brazilian tree cutter has been cutting trees in the jungles of Brazil since the 80's.
He cut them down perfectly with no issues at all.

So I guess he knows his stuff. :yeshrug:

Right now 3 rentals and just bought a foreclosed home we're going to flip.

Be patient. There will always be opportunities out there, you just have to be in a position to take advantage of them.

Low credit to debt ratio
Manageable or no car note
Nice personal savings.

Also there is nothing wrong with finding a partner. You would need to start an LLC before hands and get a lawyer to write up a contract.

what state? im in cali, and im trying to invite in the midwest/east coast.

been eyeing a couple states, but haven't pulled the trigger on anything. good properties go so fast off the market, its hard for out of state buyers

any of ya'll go on the biggerwallets forums?

Just to give y'all a feel on the real estate market near Charlotte, NC...

I got moved in my new house and was under contract on my old house within 48 hours of it being in the MLS +$7,000 from what I paid for it 14 months ago. I did no updates or remodeling.

3 showings were scheduled in the first 6 hours it went active.

If you want a house you have to jump on it as soon as it goes up.

It's crazy out here brehs.

You know anything about the market in Harrisburg, NC?

A buddy of mine wants to go half on a flip down there and was just wondering if it’s a desirable area.

I don't know about Harrisburg specfically, but the market as a whole in NC is still red hot

My home girl, newly single, has never done her own yard work, so yesterday she asked me to help operate her mower. She has a self propelled mower and I think I fell in love with it. I really want one now. I've also stepped my mowing and edging game up this year. I legit enjoy cutting the grass now and with the self-propelled mower, I think it may turn into a full out hobby. I still need to learn about feeding/weeding/seeding and all that too.

The Chi (South Side)
I dunno if ya'll know this, but I moved out of my house in the chi to take this job down in dallas about a year ago. now another job in chicago has me interviewing tomorrow (already did 2 phoners) since I'll be back in town. I never sold the crib, so I got somewhere to live.

I'm not sure what to do. I'm ready to go home, but my wife just started a new job down here last week, but this new job would be giving me another 5 figure raise and I'd be back home where I wanted to be in the first place. plus the benefits are better at the new spot as well.

this apartment living down here ain't what's hot in the streets.

that said, it's still cool that whenever I go back to the chi (like this holiday) I simply just go back in my spot and can be totally comfortable.

what area is your house in chicago?

i'm not very familiar with the city, but i feel like theres alotta growth opportunity and gentrification that will eventually come thru. with all the publicity on the crazy crime rates in chicago, its only a matter of time before they use strong armed tactics to combat the crime there like they did for NY in the 80s, and LA in the 90s and 00s. i see chicago as the next big city making those changes. whats your thoughts as someone more familiar with the city?

the housisng prices are very attractive for some of the rougher neighborhoods

I stay in chatham. this is where chance the rapper grew up. so in chicago neighborhoods change by blocks. 1/2 of chatham is really bad. but that's not where I live. my area is very suburban like. mostly retirees on my block and no kids or apartment buildings at all. the folks that do work are usually cops, ex cops and city workers. I can let my kids play outside without any issues as well and I got a huge back yard.

there is an elementary school across the street as well. housing prices are reasonable and they're rehabbing a shytload of homes in that area. I'm within walking distance of the train and buses plus there's a movie theatre, two grocery stores, lowes, home depot, chipotle, walmart, and a lot of other retail within a 5 minute drive. I have had that house for 2 1/2 years and I've been out of the city for damn near a year. I got some projects I need to have done on the house, and I'll be around to get that stuff done. being so far away from our largest asset gave me a lot of anxiety over the past year.

here's an article a couple years old about my neighborhood.
