mortgage rate average is up to 4.1% on bankrate. better pull the trigger soon if you're thinking about purchasing a home.

I need to read through this thread. I've been wanting to find a home to fix up and live in and I want to make a serious push to do so in 2017. I live in the Atlanta area and real estate is relatively cheaper here than in most parts of the country.

If you're locked in then you're locked in.

If your rate sheet date is prior to the election, then those are the rates you get, unless you asked to extend the lock, in which case "higher-of" pricing goes into effect.

Basically, if you didn't ask to extend the lock, something is fukked up.
