@Hijo de luna Breh how hard was that to do? It looks good man.
Moms half of the fam is from the Chi and I spent every summer there as a youth so Im very familiar with that. Uncle had a condo and his HOA fee back in the 90's was over $1k.yeah, in chicago there really aren't gated communities. high rises and condos have HOA fees. but that is paying for shyt like doormen, security, swimming pools, fitness centers and other ammenities you get in those buildings.
Preciate it. It wasn't too bad, never worked with concrete before. A month of research and planning, took about a week to build. But it's solid as hell and got the feel of granite at a fraction of the cost. Well worth it IMO.@Hijo de luna Breh how hard was that to do? It looks good man.

No his was $1k annually just like mine.he must live in a fancy downtown high rise or in hyde park. I don't see any scenario in which a 1K monthly HOA fee is a good deal.
So what kinda water y'all working with? City/County hookup? Community Well? Private Well?
Either way, does anyone use a water filter?
I think this guy touched answered your question a little bit, I watched this video a few weeks back. Jump to about 3 minutes in.I have a question. my old house was like 1700 sq ft, but the first floor had 10' ceilings.
my new house is 2100 sq ft (not including 1400 finished sq ft in the basement) with 8' ceilings.
that being said, my new house has an central A/C unit that's only 1/2 the size of the old house and it gets MUCH cooler in the summer. how can it get cooler with a smaller A/C unit cooling down a larger house?
I'll answer this. in chicago, since we are right on the great lakes, we get lake michigan water. and this is great, cuz water in chicago is one of the cheapest things going. its like $6 for every 1000 gallons. and my family uses like 3500 gallons a month. when you live on the shores of the greatest freshwater source in the world, then you tend to get favorable rates for water.
as for a filter, the tap water here taste really good, so I don't need it to be honest. my fridge has one, but like I said, I dont' need that shyt. and there is no difference in taste to me between filtered water and non-filtered water. we have suburbs that use well water, and that taste like some ass. no joke.
- last night some fukker decided to do donuts, spun outta control, knocked into the neighbor's car, wiping their back door clean off, smashed into my tenant's car (totaled it) causing it to swing onto the sidewalk and knock down my fence and this nikka had the nerve to up and leave the scene ...can't wait until they finish gentrifying this area
posted in the random thoughts thread, but i'll put it here...always some shyt going down with owning
Nebraska, I payed $15k below what they was asking and put $10k down
