:russ: :russ: I’m just glad it’s not only me. I was ready to move when I first saw it. People who take walks for exercise would walk past and frown their faces up. Then to top it off I gave her my handy man’s name/number and he was the one who did it. I was mad at him for a minute too :stopitslime:

That blue is so bold that we figured that we needed to do something to compliment it, so we're painting our house purple with a creamy, yellowish trim.

We call it blueberry cheesecake :russ::russ::russ:

So, i finally took that plunge.

I put my first property on the market for rent. Currently listed at 900+

4bed 2 bath, >1600 square feet. New countertops, AC, plumbing, Kitchen Sink, rebuilt and stained decks, and other small things over the course of 1.5 years.

Hope it rents out soon :lupe:

Spent the last couple days power washing all the old paint off to get down to the original stucco.

This morning I applied a coat of bonding agent to the front and garage so that later today I can add a skim/finish coat to the front area in order for it all to look uniform with the new stucco that was done during the repair. I’ve done patch jobs on stucco before, but never a match/finish coat/blend, nor on any surface as large as this. Also doing this from a ladder on the dolo. Wish me luck lol

Ok that’s good. I stay watching HGTV and putting a place on the market is always the best part to me. Oh and open houses lol

When I bought my house 4 years ago, I ended up getting my license to learn more about the process. I realized quickly that I didn’t want to be a sales person, so there wasn’t a need for me to keep it up.

I don’t want to be a landlord either, but if I get the opportunity I want to be in the position of lender. Probably like an owner financing type deal. You still get payments, but you’re not responsible for repairs. Also, in the event of foreclosure, the place comes back to you. Unless the owner refi’s, but then you get a lump sum.

Are y’all in love with that screen door where those stairs are? The arch there is beautiful and it takes aways from it. If it’s for safety, the other side is wide open. A foot stool could get you in there :lupe:

my friend actually made that door for us and he built an arch into it which doesn’t show in the photo. I also have a trellis that i made that is normally up there, but i removed it in order to prep the paint underneath.

Ok cool! Those arches are very nice. I like details on houses like that. Give them a uniqueness.

Done with the hardest parts. Ran out of stucco at the very end, but for the most part I could just leave it alone and it'll still look fine to most people. Back to pressure washing all the old paint off around the back of the house, and then after caulking up a bunch of cracks, I should be able to start painting it.

I was trying to mow my lawn this past weekend but the mower wasn’t working. It would start up but then stop. I looked at some YouTube videos and the carburetor may need cleaning, it was an easy fix, if I had the tools. I’m not buying tools to check a lawnmower to mow the grass one last time :stopitslime:. There is a little repair shop up the street, but I’m not trying to throw a lawn mower in my car either.

I want a self propelled one anyway and this one came with the house and gave me 4 years. That’s not bad for something free lol. When I get a new one, I’ll just give it away as is. It looked like a cheap/easy fix.
