They'd view it as a step down, which competition wise, they'd be right save for alcorn and su. Im guessing there's more money and opportunity in the Ohio valleyif that happens, they might just have the two best teams play each other at the end of the year for the conference title.
I hate what’s happening to the MEAC, even tho they bougie asses talked down on us SWAC folk.
Actually with FAMU & maybe Cookman leaving, that should bring down the travel cost since they won’t have to travel to Florida anymore.
off topic but ayo @Theolodius_Black i literally just started listening to the Aristocrat of Bands after I saw them live for the first time at Honda this year.
whenever I’d watch the Atlanta or Southern Heritage Classic on YouTube id always skip whenever they played and go straight to y’all and FAMU.
them nikkas nice as hell
Been sleeping on them for damn bear 20 years. They’ll be a nice addition to the SWAC if the school admin grow some nuts and join a HBCU conference
My guess? TravelWhy are they abandoning MEAC for SWAC.
it just hit me we not gonna get a band season in the fall
Pull as far as what?Something I’ve always wondered...what HBCU in New Orleans has the most pull?
SU
Gram
Dillard
Xavier
Or Texas Southern
Pull as far as what?
I know a few native NO cats that might know a few people but I'm not sure how much pull those people would have as far as actually accomplishing shyt but who knowslike most politicians, most black entrepreneurs, which school has the most alum spread over the city working.
In Atlanta, Morehouse, CAU and Spelman have a lot of people in high positions like principals, school board members, politicians, business owners etc. Having a Morehouse,CAU or Spelman degree automatically gets you hired at a lot of places here...
also, FAMU, Tuskegee, Alabama State and the small GA schools in the country (Albany, Fort Valley) have some influence on the school.
