The only major competition is Mermaid and Fast X.

If it plummets in its second weekend then Marvel might want to think about reigning in these budgets and pushing X-Men forward in release.
Seems like they did market this less than they usually do for movies. And it seems the plan is to just space out the offerings more. So X-Men will be delayed moreso than pushed forward.

Release dates aren’t the Ten Commandment.

And with Majors/Kang up in the air, there’s room to move things around to begin X-Men’s return. They usually have the barebones of phases years ahead of time.

Ain’t no one clamoring for Kang Dynasty over X-Men

In MY opinion, it’s up there with “Infinity War” and “Endgame” when it comes to a conclusion of character arcs from an emotion stand point.

There are 2 post credits scenes that kinda sorta give you glimpses of the future. But it’s more of an epilogue of the Guardians story.

Are any post credits tied to Kang? Spoiler your response

How is Kang, 'up in the air' they filmed Loki season 2 already. It's going to air. They have or are filming multiple movies and TV shows right now. They can't stop their plans on a dime to do X-Men. Plus, that would save them no money. They have to buy out the old talent if they want to start fresh with X-Men.

Saw an advanced screening last night and :wow:

For the longest time I felt that the Steve Rogers “Captain America” trilogy was the best trilogy that came from the MCU. That title now goes to “Guardians Of The Galaxy.”

James Gunn just gets it, what he did with these 3 movies is special and quite honestly, this is the best MCU movie since “Infinity War” and “Endgame.” This movie wraps up the entire story of the Guardians in a nice wrapped bow. And to accomplish that within the MCU as a whole is quite impressive.

The MCU is going to miss James Gunn and honestly DC is in good hands. And this movie was his swan song to Marvel studios.

He just GETS it :damn:!!

You literally just said they are spacing stuff out further.

There is writers strike looming. Majors is having issues we have to see work out.

The only movies in production right now are Cap 4, FF, and Blade. Echo should have been out.

You really think they are hitting the original May 2025 date? Superman Legacy is in 2025 and it’s in preproduction right now getting ready to film at the end of year.

Only? 3 movies is a lot. You want them to stop all of them and start working on X-Men? And they for a lot more TV shows coming other than Echo to.
I had to look up what you were talking about regarding May 2025. lol You are all over the place. Superman isn't any further along than Kang Dynasty. Matter of fact the movie and its director were announced way before Superman's. I'm sure they aren't just sitting around not doing shyt in that regard. They got a couple people cast already, Superman doesn't.

Three movies ain’t a lot. Marvel was putting out four and producing tv shows at one point. Echo is finished and in the can and missed its original release date is my point. So don’t act like Marvel can’t switch things around if they want.

Kang dynasty ain’t hitting that date.

Gunn is writing and directing and on the project since last year. They already announced filming in Atlanta for the end of year. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

The point is, "they don't want". And yeah not saying anything is permanent but both movies are in preproduction. And I do know Superman Legacy has no one cast. lol

The writer’s strike might happen on Tuesday and depending on how long it last. no writers will be working on any production (and Marvel is known for constant changes during production)meaning Thunderbolts , Cap 4, DD, and everything else will have to stop or be forced to do major reshoots later on to fix issues that came up.

Everything is getting pushed back

Since Gunn is directing, he can still move forward with this movie and make his date.

OK, how are they gonna do X-Men during this strike? Make sense dude. At least this stuff has finished scripts or at least a basic storyline. X-Men doesn't have shyt.
