NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. FOR FIA TO ADMIT GUILT IS A MASSIVE LAWSUIT, AND MERCEDES HAVE TIME AND RESOURCES.Never happen.. there's no way to actually crown Lewis. Maybe they can vacate the title?
THIS WILL BE NEGOTIATED BEHIND DOORS.

The lap after the break of rules would be invalidated and rolled back to the previous lap order .Never happen.. there's no way to actually crown Lewis. Maybe they can vacate the title?
Breh you're not factoring in that Lewis has to cross the finish line. Say a pop up in baseball.. they are caught 99% of the time. But the game isn't actually over until it's secured in the glove. A race isn't complete until the driver crosses. How do you explain that away even if it's a near impossibility?
True, you can also argue that unless those lapped cars completely stopped, Lewis would have made at least two corners before Max got close....that would have been all he needed.
We will seeLewis is gone bro.
I don't think he's coming back now.
I've been watching F1 since I was 14. Schumacher winning in Bennetton Blue was the first full season I watched. I'm not watching if the same guy is the race director next year. They purposely manipulated a few rules for Lewis to lose. That's fukking wild.
I've seen racers crash other racers, but it's never been caused by the governing body making decisions that directly influenced what's been happening in this way going all the way back to Brazil. It's been sloppy manipulation along with a sloppy ass cover up.
Agreed. I think he gave one to Lewis at the start of the race to be honest. I don't question his integrity but rather his competence. You cannot, as the race director, get bullied into making/reversing a decision by any team principal.I'm not defending Masi, just saying that he didn't intentionally rig the race. If I was him, I would have told the safety car to stay out until all the cars unlapped themselves, which would have taken one lap and by then the race would have been over. If Red Bull complained, he could have told them that they got what they wanted so they need to shut up![]()
Like I said, you'd need to pretend to not understand racing for this to make sense and that's what you're doing.
You're bringing up unimaginably incorrect assertions to say that he wouldn't have crossed the line a lap later with zero issues happening with his car. I can't go back and forth about this with you anymore.
Which is of note considering he literally just signed an extension on his contract his year that him and Mercedes brass were literally beefing about for months. That's not a non-committal to brush over.We will see
He was non-committal during his interview
The lap after the break of rules would be invalidated and rolled back to the previous lap order .
Thatās the point of the protest and eventual court case
Either way don't miss this either. The rules say, the safety car goes in and the cars race on the following lap.Like I said, you'd need to pretend to not understand racing for this to make sense and that's what you're doing.

No. Nothing will become of this. This is what Liberty wanted, a spectacle. The only way this backfires, is if Mercedes says, fukk this and withdraw from the sport.Would they bring everyone bacc to redo the final lap? That's how other sports appeals go..
