Is he an instant starter on that Everton front?
The kid was on a tear late last season. Hope he's given the time to show out in the Premiere League.

Can someone explain these Italian clubs fascination with Lukaku? Is he better suited to their play style?

Italians like a big CF and/or a poacher, Lukaku fits both boxes.

Problems I can see Lukaku having in Italy, unless it's on the counter attack (in space) he isn't the best player when it comes up against park the bus defences. And he isn't the most consistent when it comes to heading from crosses.

How do these buyback clauses work, I guess the future buyback fee is already set and agreed

What If the player doesn't want to go back? :lupe:

It's hard to explain the Italian transfer system, apart from it isn't 100% legit. :skip: It's the old pals act and people doing favours for one another.

Generally, it's homegrown/academy graduates players that get the buyback clause. Now on the buyback clause there is usually an expiration date on it, that the selling club has to buy by or a % of future sales like United have with Palace on Zaha, that why Palace want 80m, as they owe United 25%.

Lukaku is a player who scores a goal every other game. And that's while playing with Everton and then it wasn't a much better situation for a striker at Mourinho's United. While he's not perfect, he's pretty close to being a complete striker.

Name me a player close to his age, ability, stats that's available for around 70m in today's transfer market?

We still have a buy-back clause on Mempis Depay.

You are one of the dumb arsenal fans if we are rebuilding where is the transfer plan we'll be playing for 5 players plus a stadium loan for 4 years plus having to replace most of the team but yes let's buy another attacker. :unimpressed:

You can make your :trash: points without insults breh. We desperately needed a winger and got one of the best in Europe for around 20mil this year. Even if our budget is 45mil that still leaves us in good shape to land Thierny and a young experienced CB. We can rebuild while remaining competitive. The good clubs do that.

Everton could end up spending €40m on Kean with add-ons and have agreed to pay him £2.75m a year. Juventus had wanted a buy-back clause but instead they will be told of any bid so they can choose whether to match it. The player, who had one year remaining on his contract, scored six Serie A goals in 13 appearances last season and has played three times for Italy.

Everton agree deal to sign Moise Kean from Juventus for initial £29m
